| Ok I am loving the gym! Ran all 6 packs through the king. I spent more of the time on nose-in and other new stuff. I did my first nose-in piros in both directions. I tell you, nose-in is becoming almost as easy as tail-in for simple hovering. My only weakness is flying it higher and I will work on that. All the stuff I do right now is like 6-12in off the floor. I have done some higher stuff but the low height and TG allow me more freedom to try new things. If things get all crazy I just whack th.hold and let the heli slide to a stop. Lately I have been saving it more but once in a while I feel a dumb thumb coming on and I will just kill power and start over. That is better than crashing.
I tried something I haven't seen yet. I did a toolman piro (holding heli in hover while slowly moving through all the orientations) but instead of having the heli move, I left the heli in one direction and walked around it myself. This allows the heli to stay in a nice stable hover and just lets me focus on the orientations. I did 3 "TJ piros" walking clockwise and 1 walking counter clockwise. I have no idea why but anytime the heli is physically on my left side, I have all kinds of trouble keeping is stable. That just tells me I need more practice with the heli all around me.
Oh and I did my first circles. They were big, rough and slow but I did make it around. I tried to follow the center 12' circle in the gym but as I transitioned from right side-in to nose-in, it got a little loose and drifted right a ways. I brought it back and continued around. Then I did 2 big ovals all the way around the gym. I also lost it once on each oval but again I just brought it back in line and continued. I can see myself doing those easily by the end of the week
