Just a vendor change from what I understand. Probably has something to do with 'too many lawyers' and if you put another companies part in something that had anothers part in it.....you know how it goes with lawyers.

The 617 Rx is setup for ECCPM helis.

The sequence of servo signals on the R607 is 1-2-3-4-5-6-7
The sequence of servo signals on the R617 is 7-6-1-2-3-4-5

and the guts are different.

Fritz is right. They changed signal sequence to minimize swash dancing in ccpm configurations. Note how now ail, ele, pitch are close together.

I have 607 and 617 in my hands right now and the secuences are the same 1234567 dont know what kind of difference you are talking about, and both rx are identical

I will buy 2 more rx, whish IŽll buy??? because in some months one of them will be discontonued

They are marked the same, the difference is in how the radio sees them. If you are using with a 14MZ (I'm sure the 12 does the same thing), look in the fucntion screen and you will see what 1,2,...are controlling.

We are not talking about the sequence of the plugs.
The FASST system transmits the entire 1 to 7 servo positions at the same time to the RX. The RX then sends servo position pulses one at a time to the servos.
A ECCPM heli uses servos 1, 2 and 6. With the 607 pulse channel 1 is send and the servo starts to move. Then pulse ch2 is send, then 3, then 4, then 5 and then finally 6. By the time 6 is send, 1 and 2 will already have started to move. This causes something called swashplate dance - because ch 6 is always late.
The 617 RX groups the swashplate servo channels together (1,2,6) to minimize the dance.

607/617 RX??

Thinking about buying the FASST radio for my elec heli with ccpm mixing.What rx is needed,and are all the rx's 80 bucks or more my son bought the dx7 and his rx'z ar6100 are 50 or less?I'm still on the fence about radios futaba is cheper but rx is more and heaver10 grams.Spektrum radio is more money but rx is cheper and only 4.4 grams.Any help Thanks

For what its worth, I had the JR x9303 and the DX7 then sold them both to go to Futaba's FASST system. The deciding reason for me as the fact the DX-7 does not have a dedicated throttle kill function. There are mixes/options that are close but not right. The Futaba has a seperate switch that is programmed for throttle kill. I consider it a safety feature but opinions differ.

One thing the Spektrum has is the receiver with the high current power connections. I wish the Futaba had that feature.

You makes your choices and takes you chances. Best of luck!

Only the 608 and 6014 have currently 2048 resolution... that is if the Tx supports it too.

if the 608 and the 6014 runs 2048,
then it suck's that the 617 runs 1024(i'm running the g3 ModeA),
but has the swashservos in the same group.......
