I have been out of the action for about a year, and finally was able to unpack and assess the status of my helis. My MX-400 is still in great shape, but I need main blades. I find that the stock of spare blades I have on-hand for my Shogun are too thin and don't fit in the blade grips. Anyone know where I can get stock blades, or aftermarket ones, that have the correct cord thickness? Failing that, I suppose I could shim the blades I have. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I see that in my absence everyone has pretty much abandoned the 400 class helis. I am sticking with them simply for budgetary reasons—can’t afford to buy all new 450 class airframes and associated stuff. The cost of batteries alone would put the hobby out of my reach!

Just use washers with the Shogun blades. It's the same if you use Trex blades on the MX you have to use washers as well. No harm done using them just make sure you use one on each side to centre the blade in the grip.

Thanks for the tips. I scrounged-up some plastic shims I saved from discarded MX blades and did some minor modification to the T-Rex blades I had on-hand--worked like a champ!
