Hi all

been trying to find some info regarding what equipment to get for K3D. but man, can't it be just simple..
can you please check below and tell me if i'm on right track.. remember i'm complete noob to 50 class and nitro's. got some stick time on 450E's

This far:
OS 50 Hyper. (no idea about muffler yet)

Fut 9252/54 swash (lipo recv bat to power those beasts).

What throttle servo recommended? do i need full size or can one go micro?. i've got some DS821 jr, jr nes 537's and some hs-55's

Gyro: Gy410/9254

going to run Dx7 and either ar6200 or ar7000 (preffered)

presume i need regulator for lipo. what recommened?

i want to buy once.. i made the cheap route mistake already

thanks in advance

Some ideas:

OS 50 Hyper with Hatori 522 v2 muffler
Futaba 9252 on swash
Standard servo throttle (or whatever you have)

Gyro: GY401/9254 or Spartan 760 gyro if you're feeling flush
Dx7 with 6200 (or 7000)
Fromeco 2600 LiIon + Arizona regulator
Governor of your choice

Sorry for the long note, I didn't have time to write a short one.

You will want to get the AR7000, if you ever intend to run a governor.

I had been flying with out a gov for a very long time, it wasn't until i got my second knight that i decided to go gov.
I flew just fine with out a gov so its not needed, but it does make things easier down the road.

karman,

I would plan on getting a governor (meaning get the seven channel reciever), even if getting one is far in the future.

I never used one before about a year and a half ago-now I do not build a glow ship without one.

You can do it properly with pitch and throttle curves, but the governor is just nice and easy.

I am not a 3D flier, but I love the constant RPM.

ar7000 already on the list.. i like the dual receiver idea.. much better, and thus far no problems with it on the mini titan.

i just need to get costs bit down at this stage.. maybe in month or 2 i;ll get gov... huge amount of money once off for full bling ship

Karman,

Absolutely amazing how it adds up. I used to be much cheaper with four channel radios, no gyros, and no governors (but not nearly as much fun!).

my first attempt at heli was about 15 years ago.. fixed pitch, no gyro.. 53 mhz am radio... needless to say.. was not very succesful.. stuck to planks ;-).. these days much easier.. ;-)

ok..
seems like i will go with JR 770 ds8900 for gyro...

i see the 9452 and 9252 are same price? should rather go with the 9452? its 6v metal gear

thanks

If you want to save a little money, go with the Century .50 sized pipe. its half the price and puts out a lot of power!
It is a little louder then the Hatari or Align, but it works great!
