Hi, I am a new owner of this cool little heli. I assembled everything as per manual and tips from this forum (thanks all!!). I am having issues getting the DX7 setup (I think) as well as pitch??

My issue is the heli will not lift off even at full throttle.

Here is the configuration I purchased and put together below. I did not configure the DX7 because it seemed to operate all servo's properly out of the box. (it was a new used unit and configured for Heli already).

Spektrum DX7 DSM2
Spektrum AR6100

HiTec HS-45HB (3 servo’s)
HiTec HS-50 (Tail)
E-Flite EFLRG90HL (HH-Gyro)

Hyperion LiteStorm VX 2S 800mAh 7.4v battery

Any advise or tips for this configuration is appreciated.

My links were way off from the factory so I first installed the servos and sub-trimmed them level at half stick with a linear norm pitch curve. I used wood blocks to set the swash at 7mm off the frame and then set the links to the ball, then I adjusted the links from the cage to the wash-out until the washout is level (both links have to be the same length) and then adjusted the pitch links so I had 0 pitch. all while having the pitch stick center and having a linear pitch curve. once this is done then put in the settings. Here are mine

my throttle curves are:
Norm- linear
ST1- 90 across
ST2- 100 across

Pitch Curve:
Norm- 30,40,50,7,100
ST1- Linear
ST2- Linear
Hold- Linear

Thanks for the setup details, I was quite a bit off and broke one of the linkages trying to reset. I ordered new linkages and the proper tool. I hopefully upon reinstallation and setup will be good to go.

Hi Everyone,
I have Lama V3 and Trex450Se v2 and
I have just bought my Hurricane 200 kit/version with 11.1.V battery, Futaba GY401 Gyro and I have the following questions:
1. How to mount Futaba Gyro? Can this gyro be monted similarly as shown i.e. the NT-400? This my my second Futaba GY401 and I understand that it can be monted only horizontally.
2. Which pinion should I use 15T or 12T?
3. How to fix pinion on a motor shaft? Do you recommed using glue? If glue what type: epoxy or super glue?
4. Shall I use thread locker and if yes wchih one midium?

I am afraid manual is very poor particularly for beginners.

Please Help asap - I hope to fly this Easter. Cheers, Tony

-I mounted my 401 so that it is right behind the bottom plate mounting bolts and wrapped the extra wire around the bottom frame plate and that gave me enough to reach the RX.
-But i would recomend getting the 2s pack there is plenty of power there and no need to change pinions, motors or ESC's
-I used the stock motor pinion
-And I did not do anything to the motor and it has been running great!
