ok so i traded today and now have a almost new hurricane... a couple of questions

ok the motor in it says z20a and its blue, the extra motor is red says nothing on the top. is a little shorter and has 3 black wires coming out of it... he said its more powerful than the blue one so is it the z30?

and i think im going to get the super brain 989 to charge it and 2 blinkies...

Motor?

If it is shorter than definately not a Z30, as that is taller than a Z20.

its actually the same size... the top is smooth, like the z20 has a dip this doesnt... its silver in the middle i went there and i didn't see anything like this one

is the stock motor red? he gave me a box today that says z20 on it but im confused because it shows it red and the blue one i have says z20 on the top of the motor

send a pic of the motor, if it's the RCP 1000w thats a great motor, my guess is it's the upgrade Gaui 1500w motor, the RCP would have a lable onthe side of the can, the Gaui motor I believe doesn't, but anyway, fly with the Z20 if you are fairly new.
what version hurr is this? all plastic, arbon frame, metal head?
if it's plactic frame with all metal head then it came with the red Gaui 1500w motor.

The Gaui 1100kv 1500w motor is red, mine had 2 stickers on it, one on top and one on the side (which has fallen off during flight making a noise that scared the hell out of me since I was hovering only just in front of myself). I'll post a pic of the motor later so you can compare it to the one you have.

ok i found out that the red one is the 1100 kv motor and the blue is the z20... a quick question... can i just put the bind chip into the rx or do i need to use a nicd with charge lead... and also what kind of pitch/ throttle curves are people using for 3d flight with the dx7?

I am using linear for normal mode,0-inh-50-inh-100 and 100-95-90-95-100 for idle up.This is with the stock 850kv motor. Motor temp about 120 deg after 5 or so 3d and 2 2500 fp packs are about 100 deg. Been working pretty well so far. This is also with cf 500mm blades and the short boom.

I meant to do that!!!

what about pitch curves?


and one last question... the flybar cage, whats on it now is 2 metal pieces that stop on the ball links... the other one i have is a metal cage that goes all around

ok so i got everything setup but i just want 2 check one thing... if im charging 2 3s batteries in a series i charge as 6s 2200mah but if i charge in parallel i do 3s 4400mah, is this correct?

this motor will really chew up anything less the 25c 2500mah packs, I fly the RCP h/18 1000kv motor on the Evo 2500's and get 4.5 minutes, I tried evo 2170's and i got 3 minutes and puffed cells
