Hi,
I'm thinking about getting a Benzin but I've never seen one fly before....does anyone have some video I could take a look at?

Regards,
Tom

benzin

tom:

what do you believe a video will tell you? the only difference in appearance would be the fact that the benzin has counterclockwise rotation so the hover hangs to the left, not the right.

i am not sure that you would see that the helicopter does not shake like a glo powered heli. you could not see the helicopter hovering at approximately 20% throttle, with more power than the 14.75 pound helicopter could use!

i was a helicopter flyer in the late 80s and early 90s but gave it up. never was very good either

i recently (oct 02) came back to helis from giant scale plankers. i bought a couple of rappy 50s. one went into a longranger fueslage. i was flying the longranger every weekend until i got the benzin. after thay, i took the benzin and longranger to the field, but never took the longranger out of my truck.

the benzin flies on gasoline. i guess we are now up to as much as $2.25 a galloon, including the oil. each tank lasts a minimum of 20 minutes. i can fly all weekend, five or more flights per day, and barely use a galloon.

looking back on this response, i am not sure i answered your question. if you would like, i can try to make a video this weekend. however, i don't know what to shoot. let me know what you would like to see.

btw, i like my benzin so much that i have purchased another one to go in the bk117, because i don't want to take the p&d apart.

just do it!

Thanks for the info. I fly a Fury 60, a Fury 80, and still have a Raptor 30 for sky bashing. I've never seen a gasoline powered heli in flight and simply would like to see what it looks like and sounds like in flight.

Tom

Go here: http://www.mcgirt.net/RC/videos.html and click on the Southern Nevada Rotory Classic Videos to see a bunch of benzin powered scale machines including my Mountain Dew Jet Ranger. It's essentially a benzin trainer with a fuselage wrapped around it. The videos have sound so you can hear it. too....

No problem Nels.

Like you, I ended up liking my BT so much I bought another to put in the fuse the first one was originally intended to go in! I take my Raptor to the field with me but never pull it out, either. I've been timing my flights and have computed that I can fly for almost 40 minutes on the stock Vario tank of fuel (Ozark camp fuel)!! My fingers get tired before I run out of gas! Must keep checking batteries!

What a gas.
