I am building this heli with a Hacker C40-8L motor and a Schulze Future 12.46e.

Here's my problem: After I plugged everything in, everything works except the motor. Is there a setting or something that I am missing?

My radio is a 9z and I'm using the GY240 gyro.

After I plug in the batt, I hear chirps and 2 beeps. But when I move the throttle stick, nothing (again, servos do work).

Thanks in advance for your help.

When you hear the "beep beep" at the end of the rising\falling tone, the ESC thinks your throttle stick is at MAX on power up and is not armed. It will only arm when the throttle stick is at min and you hear the one beep.

Try reversing your throttle channel until you hear only one beep on power up.

Hi Andy,

I reversed my throttle channel but I still hear 2 beeps.

By the way do you hear the rising\falling tone before the beep-beep? Basically the rising tone is telling you the esc is being power up. the falling tone, available on certain schulze controllers (mainly v7 or higher), means that it's in govonor mode. After that, the esc will either "beep" when the throttle is 0 and now armed, or "beep-beep" if the throttle is at max (and the ESC is not armed).

Some basics to check...
1) Right throttle Channel? remove the ESC lead from the RX and place a spare servo in it's place to see if it's the right throttle channel.

2) Bad ESC control input? Remove the control lead (orange\yellow\white wire) on the ESC plug and power up. You should only hear the rising\falling tone, but NO final beeps. If you hear one or two beeps after the rising\falling tone, then perhaps your ESC is stuck on MAX or MIN throttle position.

3) Throttle channel on radio not sending the right throttle position? i.e. Are you attempting to power up on Idle-up? Is your throttle curve flat? Are your ATV limits "normal" on that channel? etc. One way to check this is to see the servo position view on your transmitter if you have one and verify 0 to 100% range and that it moves properly as you move the throttle up and down.

4) Are you using more than 8 cells? I believe this ESC is a BEC unit. Change the controller for one that has no BEC if you are using more than 8 cells.

Yes, the rising tone is before the 2 beeps. I did plug in a servo into Channel 1 and it worked.

I unplugged the control lead and heard the tone but no beep(s).

I checked the radio programming (ATV, TCV) and they looked normal. No idle-up.

I do have 10 cells but thought this board could handle it: "Schultze Future 45-He is a sensorless controller (only three wires to the motor) rated for 6-12 cells at 46/60 amps with powerful BEC (10 cells max) rated at 3 amps. This is the new series that replaces the Future 45He. Uses DIP switches for easier programming. Controller has too many features to list, including rotor speed governor!"

I'm so confused....

Thx
