The bearings aren't supplied with PV0406. Does anyone know where to get bearings for this mod?

Geez, aren't the top ends of the hoop links hitting the mixers when you do cyclic and negative pitch? We just finished doing Merlin3's setup using the same mixers and flybar cage you are and it took some tweaking with the spacers until it all clears. Well, almost. Your looks rather tight too.

With the new setup you don't need as much collective movement as the "mod" increases the total amount of pitch. In essence you need less travel to get the same 10.5 degrees of pitch than you did before the mod.

Those mixer arms look like unmodified arms? I just completed the mod too but my arms are shorter after the mod.

I did a quick blade track and hover in the backyard and the climbout in Normal was WAY more responsive. Since my backyard isn't big enough to ring out the mod I quit while I was ahead.

My collective range went from +-10.5 to +-12.5.

i did not cut the length of them at all. my pitch range is +- 16

im only useing 13.5+- pitch and it feels great, a lot more "pop" and it tracks great in FFF.

im very happy with this mod

youre right, it did take a lot of tweaking, just make sure you can use full collective +- and full cyclic in any direction with no binding. its a tight fit but it does fit and seems to fly great.

Like I said, I just finished doing a 2nd R50 with this mod and will be doing a 3rd one soon. All have diferent flybar arms, cages and heads but it is essentially the same mod. The one I just finished (merlin3's) is exactly the same setup as Mike's and it took a bit of adjusting to get it to work smooth around the flybar cage. One thing we did on merlin5 was used the new 16.25mm hole instead of the stock outer hole on the mixer and we are not getting the cyclic responce I have on my rappy so we are to try the outer hole and reduce/keep the collective to +12-12 to not go overboard. So far it has plenty of collective pop and improved fwd flight tracking. More test flights to come.

Mike what kind of bolts are you using to hold the mixer arms on? They look like a smooth head? I put socket head bolts on there and that is what is hitting my hoops.

those were stock bolts just filed down to clear the hoops.

im now using "pan- head" bolts and a smaller spacer for a better fit. I did grind down the head a little to get it to all clear.

also heres a video, not the best but you can see the roll/ flip rate.

finally flew my raptor with this mod today and it flew great. I am using the out hole on the mixer and limited my pitch down to -13 and +13. We also limited my cyclic down to around 8 degrees as it was hitting 10-11 degrees without binding. This really wakens up the raptor and makes it that much more fun to fly.

Where do I buy the bushings or sleeves need to spaceo ut the mixer arm? This is the only thing holding me up. I don't have a bountiful parts bin to find this type of small part in. is there a part number for a grab bag of these things or???

I got the 90 washout kit with the collars in it. For the spacer I cut off both sides of the crappy stock tail rotor hub.

You could use the bushing from the original mixers. I have used the center race from a couple of old ball bearings.
