Am planning to buy hurri 550 with 1100kv motor and 75A esc.

I just want to know how can i increase flight time as i heared 3s1p 2400mah packs can give about 5 min of easy smooth flying no 3d.

i am planning to do stable hovering practice and flying for my AP work and would wish to enhance flight time but to know how to do that i just require some experts guideline on what kind of battery power i should use to enhance or double up time like 10 or 15 minutes at single pack ?

is there any other major change requirement to do in parts like motor and esc or any other ?

Please guide.

The only concern is to enhance flight time.
With No 3d or crazy flying.

you will need the z-20 980kv motor, the 1500w motor is very inefficient, Helidirect caries the Zpower motors for about $95, I would also suggest some 3300-4000mah packs, but a stock heli on the z power motor will give around 10-12 minutes of gentle flying on 2500 packs, depending on your weight and head speed, test it on the 2400 packs and then get the packs needed.

I get around 10min on mine doing FF and hovering. Right now I'm using the stock 1100kv motor and a 80a speed control swinging 550mm blades thru a 13t pinion w/ my throttle curve setup at 95%+ during flight on 4000mah Lipos. I haven't actually timed the flight time w/ this new set up and I don't think I'll be able to fly today do the Santa Ana winds, but I'll get an actually flight time when the gust die down later.

The plastic frame is harder to get proper CG running the larger packs and I'm not sure how much the weight for the AP stuff is, but getting proper CG is easy w/ one of the fiber frames (my big 4000mah batteries still sit pretty far forward).

I don't know if you can get 15min, even w/ 5000mah batteries on the 1100kv motor but you can get over 10min I'm sure and if you get Z20 15min should be easy w/ larger packs.

no the Z20 980kv is good with the 50 amp esc. helidirect carries the Z line

I am running the Z20 -980 with an Eagle tree recorder and with non 3d flying I usually avg about 25 amps..the 50a is more than enough..

Well I timed my run w/ the 1100kv motor and 4000mah lipos and it was only 7min taking the batteries down about as far as you'd want just doing some FF and hovering against the wind (yeah it's still a bit windy). I do run a high motor RPM to keep the head speed up for the smaller pinion and to keep the motor from bogging down w/ the longer blades. I'll have to try running the 500mm blades w/ the larger pinion and lower motor RPM to see what I can get, but it's looking like you're going to have to go w/ the Z20 motor to get >10min.

second question is what to feed with z20 as ESC ?
1. 75a esc
2. 60a esc ?
3. which make esc ?

what battery pack to go with this setup ?

I'm using 2200's Hextronic, 2500's and 3300's Polyquest all 25c packs....

I am now pushing the motor harder than I used to since I'm now used to the heli...

I set my timer for 5 mins on the 2200's, 6 mins on the 2500,s and 7 - 8 mins on the 3300's. I'm sure the 3300's would easily give me 10 minutes if I was just cruising.. I also use an Eagle tree recorder so several times I will land and still have a little left so I make a circuit... but 5, 6, 8, is safe for me.

I run about 1900 - 2000 headspeed...

I like the Gaui 50a esc for it's nice soft spool up, but I have also used an Align 75 with good results also..

Several people have used other ESC.s.

If you intend to maybe upgrade the motor at some time or maybe the Z20 wouldn't be enough, you might want to get the 75amp to begin with, so you won't waste the money to buy another.
