Stolen? Missing Helis or Equip > Everythings gone!

Well, I went out to the truck yesterday morning to find a broken window! They cleaned the whole truck out, took everything. Here's the list:
spectrum DX7
JR 9303 2.4 (Just Upgraded to)
TREX 500CF (only 4 flights!)
TREX 450 V2
TP 1010 charger with 210 balancer
Hobbico Accucycle charger
6 2100 TP lipos
450 case
case with parts and tools
and a bag of misc hand tools

The good thing is they left the truck! They hit three vehicles around me that I am aware of. Of course mine was the only one with RC stuff. But they did take the neighbors truck.

I'm curious if they have tried to fly one of them yet or if they can even figure out how to turn them on. Both Helis were binded to the 9303 and it was set to the 500 so if they are not familure with the hobby they will never get the V2 to do any thing.

I'm also a member of LARKS and would love to find out who did this. I feel for sure that they will try to sell these items and that they will eventually show up. But what do you do in the mean time. I've been to pissed to sit down and figure out what it is going to cost to replace this stuff.

I would be so mad...

If that was my heli stuff...i would be mad pissed. I just got into helis myself and i work at a hobby shop that sells alot of helis (mostly T-Rex 450SEv2, 500's, and 600's nitro and electric). Heli equipment is expensive and it takes time to get them tuned in and working well. It is a huge dedication of time and money. Sorry your stuff was stolen by some jerks. I hope that you catch them and give them what they got coming to them...Citizen's Arrest.

I would rather be flying...

With all the post like this I am suprised to see people leaving the stuff in their cars and truck and trailers ? I have to say I cant sleep at night with out my helis being in the spot in my room and then the house is protected by my feirce cocker spaniel no but I got dogs and a glock and so on but I dont even like leaving my mags around and that ama sticker dont go near my car. I guess I am just paraniod but I also got a file of pictures and recipts of every thing, for the insu. If some one were to get away with my stuff I surely would not want 80% of it back after some one rumaged through and who knows what else They probably dont have a clue what the stuff goes for and sits in a house till it get raided. Wish they had micro low jacks for models and sterio equip, so they can start to catch these punks. We should go back to eye for and eye, you steal u lose a hand u steal again no more hands. And the punishment for them is not steep enough, IMHO. I saw this one low jack hunt on cops b4 they were looking for a compressor, I was thinking why would some one put low jack on a compressor ?? SO they finally pull up to a rent a space place cut the lock and some one had a big jack hammer compressor it belonged to florida dot they guyt that had it got it from a guy at a job site and didnt have title or any thing and paid 500 cash for this brand new unit ?? they took him off to jail and charged him with purchasing stolen property ? unbelieveable

I will keep my eyes and ears open for any word of your missing equipment.

I hate a darn theif. I had someone go in my "hobby building" and steal my 3 gallon air compressor and Pasche airbrush. Didn't touch anything else......so I consider myself fortunate. It's hard to pawn off the planes that I had hanging at the pawnshop, so I guess the crackheads leave them alone. I keep all of my helis in the house....thank goodness.

I'm still pretty pissed about the whole situation. The cops informed us that they have had alot of car break-ins after all my stuff was gone. It is so bad that they have gone door to door talking with homeowners in the area about the problem.Since the weekend that my stuff was taken they have hit 15 more that I know of and probably more that I don't know about.

This past week they arrested 2 teens that they are charging with break-ins in some neighborhoods about 3 miles away. They are probably the individuals that are behind most of this and if they aren't they know who is. Hopefully something will turn up soon, though I'm not expecting it.

I have already replaced alot of the stuff and trying to remember how I had everything programed. What a PITA. I had 5 other aircraft that the 9303 was for and had to start all over with programing. This one don't stay in the truck at night and I guess you can say I learned a valuable lesson.

A Valuable Lesson...

Amen to that man...all you have to do is learn from your mistakes and you will be a better person for it and less prone to bad stuff happening to you.

Sorry to hear about your loss. What I cant understand is why on earth would you leave all that in your truck over nite? In this day and age you cant do things like that to many low life thieves out there. I have had some try to take things out of my truck sitting at a stop light before some of these losers are brazen in thier acts. Hope you get lucky and get some of your items back.

I live in what I thought was a quite neighborhood. I leave things in the truck all the time and have never had any problems until now. Hell, we use to leave the house unlocked! It is sad to see that you can't leave things in your car anymore. What about people that have enclosed trailers with all their RC stuff in, Do they unload every night?

I still think it is someone that new the stuff was there. The reason I say this, is that the neighbor had his keys in the ignition and his wifes purse was in her car in plain site. If they were just wondering through the neighborhood you would think that they would have found that also.

They broke the window but did not open the door. The truck has the factory alarm wich only goes off if the door is opened.
