e-E-Flite Blade CP CX 400-3D > Blade CP++ + Pro Blade cp pro brushless tail video

Heres a vid of my cp pro with a eflite 370 4000kv motor and brushless tail. The brushless tail works awesome if you already own a cp pro with a brushless main then I highly recommend the brushless tail mod the tail will hold as good as any belt driven heli and capable of anything you want. It will work just fine with the stock pro radio since it has the gyro knob I ran it with the stock tx for a while but to get full potential I put it on my dx7. Let me know what you guys think.
Mods
Brushless main and tail
DX7 radio
401 gyro
microheli swashplate
walkera 4#1 canopy
frame, landing skids, head, servos, main shaft ect stock

Nice looking heli, and awesome flying!

You can tell what tail prop you are using just by the sound of it...

What pinion are you using?

Happy Flying!

What canopy is that?

I'm having a helluva time stuffing all those brushless electronics into my stock canopy. I was thinking of asking if there were a larger canopy for the CP, then I saw your post. Nice job, and great flying.

Edit - Oops, I just re-read your post... Walkera. Never, repeat never post to the forums until you've had your first cup of coffee. You'll look like an idiot if you do!

well done and shown guys! If someone likes micro heli's and wants a comparitively low maintanance one....this is (IMHO) the way to go.

Great vids....

Very cool. I actually got mine to fly real nice like that too. Now I just have to get the pilot up to 3D speed. Vidmarv, I got alot of extra space in my canopy by cutting down the wires on my electronics. Now it looks real clean compared to the rats nest that was in there. You ought to post that on the trex forum.

flying is simple, electronics is hard

the tail motor is a medusa 4000kv with a thunderbird 9. Some guys at the field I fly in are running this setup and works as good as mine I got to fly one and the tail handled everything I threw at it. This setup is way better and cheaper than the belt conversions.

in order to do this with a stock radio you have to have a cp pro because it has the gyro knob on the radio. Then you get rid of your 3n1 hook up the main esc to throttle and the 401 to rudder and the lead off the gyro that would normaly go to a servo connects to the thunderbird 9 esc then tail esc to the brushless tail motor. the sensing wire off the gyro goes to channel 5 on the stock rx then you dial in your gyro with the knob on the radio.

Can you show us your DX7 program? I just can not get my tail dialed in to be flyable in anything other than hover. I am running Tutelar's setup, but maybe you have done something different. What ESC are you using? Any help is appreciated.

I am using a thunderbird 9 for the tail. What is your set esc, gyro, ect. how do you start things up I plug the heli in I hear both esc the main esc initialize but only hear first beeps off the tail then whe the 401 light is solid then I hold full left to initialize tail esc then its ready then after the tail is spinning I hit throttle hold which is trimmed all the way to the left to keep the tail from spinning.

I am running;
Thunderbird 9 main and tail
Switching gyros between gy401, G90, LTG 2100T
Feigao main and tail like Tutelar's

Was getting real bad bounce when nosing one way but not the other. Turns pretty slow compared to yours. I am starting to think I may have a bad tail motor. I have been trying to make it work for 6 months with different settings, props, gyros, etc. No success except for hovering. Startup is the same as yours for arming & throttle hold.
