e-Miniature Aircraft Furion - Razor - Ion-X > Question about Razor 600E

I have been in this hobby for two years and I never seen anyone flying miniature aircraft at my local club, so I really need you all help. I am currently own T rex 600E and T rex 600N. I am planning to own a Razor 600E for my next helicopter because I really love the loud noise of the blade from this heli when I watch couple of online videos. My questions are the Razor 600E w/ 10s set up really make that kind of noise just like in the video? Could somebody share your opinions about the performance between Razor 600E+10s and T rex 600E+10s?
Thanks

I own and fly the Razor - I like it, great quality and very stable,
That sound you hear is most likely how the pilot is flying the machine with sharp large collective inputs,
Regarding how it flys in comparison to the Align 600E - the Razor is heavier, but more stable then the Trex600 - but in the right hands and 10S - the heli. is pretty snappy.

Overall - very good quality and worth it,
Jeff

The quality of a Trex doesn't even come close to a Razor, the two names shouldn't even be used in the same sentence. Yes its a little bit heavier but flies like its on rails, use 12S then you need to hold on.

Wow, It's realy that great. I always thought that nothing can fly better than T rex 600 I was wrong. I am going to try out a kit of MA, my choices are Razor E or Iron X2. where do I purchase a kit and parts for the future? Thanks for your help.

Ion X2

I would suggest that you go with an Ion X2 since you already have two 50 sized heli's. You are going to have to get more LiPo's anyway, so just go all the way to 12s. You can order directly from MA, or Heliproz, or even Graves RC.

Yeah the Razor has a distinct blade noise in the air that I love as well. It was also one of the reasons why I got one. My favorite usually happens during sharp cyclic inputs (especially pulling up hard during FF). Here is Nick Maxwell ripping with his:

Love the sound at the 00:42, 00:54 and 1:14 mark.

With its fast head response and stable feel, the Razor is one solid 3D performer. I only have about 20 flights on mine and it has already become one of my favorites (along with the Ion-X2). I'm getting ready to take it to the 12S level (PJ on the way). Although 10S is a lot of fun too. I agree with Clarence in that if you go with an X2 you want to go straight to 12S, you won't regret it. Good luck.

that's exactly the noise from the blade I am talking about, I realy love that sound with quiet motor and gear. I have tried out on my T rex 600 nitro with Kasama head and Quick UK Swashplate and I could only get that kind of noise when I do inverted backward in circle.

I to am on the verge of buying. In my case its between a Henesleit MPXLE and the IonX2.

I like to run (2) FP 6s1p 22.2v batteries. How would this balance the IonX2 heli? Would I have to add some tail weight? Would this be considered a 12s?

Been there done that!

You should be standing there filming while he is flying. The extra noise from his is also from the 620mm vblades.
