Wanted to say thanks for posting you concerned here. I have been flying the Trex 450 model since November last year after starting with the CP Pro. I peeked in this area one time and was amazed how dangerous these helis are. I immediately took advice to check and recheck set up prior to lift off and staying back a distance and keeping others away. I fly a lot safer now. Since doing so I am amazed how unaware spectators are now. I tell everybody to consider those blades as knives. They immediately get back. After being walloped by my Blade Cp in my hands a few times I can say it smarts. I never realized what my Trex 450 could do to me. I started flying the glow strings at night and find the illuminated heli almost hypnotic. At night I find it very easy to forget the power of that heli. I have taken more steps to be safer and am hoping this pays off. I am glad I visited this area.

I would hate to feel carbon blades spinning from a 3000 or even more headspeed 450. The woodies would do some damage, but the carbons would be ugly I believe. Your exactly right when you say knives. I fly with some people that get very close to their heli. This includes 90 size machines as well. It makes me cringe to watch, but unfortunately they are adults and I cannot change their flying habits. Myself, I prefer a little distance between myself and my bird. It is a great forum, and sometimes seeing pics or video's of others misfortune is everyone else's education.

I agree, I feel confident flying close and it still happens but I know it only a matter of time until something happens. I just upgraded to 4s. high voltage and my little 450 is screaming now. Even more reason to keep my distance.
