Hey Ed man that sucks!! I hate to see that..
I have about 70 to 75 flights on my Knight E3d and all the links look good still and it has been beat on every flight. Iam running the Green K&B dampeners i think you had mentioned you were using the yellow ones .If had to take a guess the dampening was to hard and caused the boom strike.
We had seen the same Issue on the Roxxter 55's the head Geometry is identical if we put to hard of dampening in it would boomstrike every time

One thing to keep in mind the Knight has one of the quickest if not the quickest heads on the market. It is the only machine that can even come close to my flybarless stuff in pitch and cyclic speed

Yeah Bobby I'm using the yellow ones they're stiffer than the stock ones but not that much So I don't think that they're that hard to cause the Bstrike, they feel the same as the 8mm stock when they were new , Yeah I agree that the head is very fast.

one thing I've noticed is you must use a ball link plier with the "nub" in the jaws,, if you use a standard flat type it will distort the ball end and fatigue or break it, you wont notice it until later. There isnt enough screw sticking out of the balls to provide leverage unless you use the "nubbed" one.

Just an observation,,

take care,,

Yeah I agree on the dampers then the only possible option for the boom strike is the ball link failure.Or do you have something else in mind?? I don't think that there's another reason that could've caused the Bstrike.
rooster had this happen and it turned out to be a chipped gear in his servo!!

i crash a lot - i dare to say even more than anyone else on the compass forum and i never had a failure unless due to stress from a crash.

only you have the power to make no difference!
