The A isnt worth taking any more TBH, years ago sure, but with flying at the level it is now its outdated, and with the rate that people can learn to fly at its outdated.

Nowadays people can pass the A within a few days of their first flight, helis and gear have gotten that good.

They still dont know what they are doing at that stage, but most could pass the A, because they are still inexperienced in the do's and dont's, the A isnt much since it doesnt really teach much of that other than whats in the BMFA handbook, and that is not exactly comprehensive.

Personally I think the BMFA should introduce a C certificate like they have with planks.

A C cert means nothing. It is purley for the pilots own pleasure to have it. In our club any heli pilot who has been flying for a year and a half before they attempted the A test doesnt always pass it. A B cert is the minimum we use for any pilot to fly at a public display. Again in 56 club members only one has a heli B cert.
As to which heli is the most dangerous? They are all dangerous but we live with it.

If it doesnt move and its meant too... use WD 40. If it moves and its not meant too...use duct tape!

Awww, common.
The inirtia in a 90 size pair of blades will wreak absolout havoc on the human body compared to a 50, and a 50 will wreak havoc compared to a 450, and we'v all seen what a 450 can do so i'd rather just say keep the heck out the way of them all
