JR Heli Vibe - Airskipper - Sylphide - Venture > Airskipper problem

I am having a hell of a time finding what my problem is....
about 60 flights, no crashes, no changes, blades won't track after I roll the machine. After any roll maneuver, the blades are out of track by at least an inch!
I know, you guys are saying change the dampeners....
I did, did not make a difference...
The head is good and tight, blade grip bearings look/feel good, etc..
Any ideas where to look next?

Most problems I've seen like that are a loose ball link, or a bent link.

The dampners are tricky to get right

The best combo I've found is to use Infinavation (INF-05009) for SCEADU
and either change the oring for fatter ones or put heat shrink over it.

They then fit perfectly in the JR head.

It can be use without this mod (oring or heat shrink) but I felt it was just a bit loose in the head ! Someone could probably also use some thin brass foil to 'shim' the head to a smaller internal diameter.

One last option to add is to put some tubing over the center of the spindle shaft so it's a tight fit in the hub.

I am using the stock dampners this time as well, again I have had @6 60 flights with no problems?
I would "assume" the stock ones would work at least for a little while.

If you sell Captain Clunk the heli for 500, I'll give Captain Clunk 250 for it.

Man, I miss the eighties.

Yes they can work, but not consistantly.

There has been a good number of posts over this when the machine came out with a couple of other suggestions like KSJ502 dampners, flipping the spindle collar (70504), but for me all of those simply delayed the problem.

The only other solution that was explained to me (I did not try this) is to use a Sceadu spindle which is a little bit shorter, so I guess shimming the current spindle should also work out ...

This cured my problem completely. I've used Radix 600mm blades and SAB 620mm blades, both track like a dream.

Slot the alloy collars in either side of the head block, slide in the feathering shaft, and push 2 of the supplied 'O' rings on either side until they locate into the collar.

Forget the K&S502 hard dampers, these are better, and they're an original JR part.

Two different brands of 620 Wide cord blades, both have tracking problems, go back to my set of 600 razors, no more problem, I could not make them go out of track!
Seems peculiar to me? Possibly the different moments of the larger cord/length blades?
As is tight on the head though.....

Check your blade tightness. I had a rex 450 that would track like a dream and one role later, it would be all out of control and vibrating because the blades were so far apart.

My anger affects the way I fly. The madder I am, the harder I fly.

I put the Razors back on and they work flawlessly,
600's non wide cord, wonder why these blades (I have tried Radix 600's as well and they worked great also) work well where the MAH's and Maveriks do not?

Re asking the question?
Do you guys have any idea why my Airskipper flys/tracks fine with Razors and Radix 600's but does not keep the track after rolling maneuvers when I have 620 wide cord blades on (both G5 pros and MAH's)?

Must be related to the CG of the blade and the feathering/flapping induce by the blade.

You could try flipping the grips to get a leading edge configuration.

Dumb question but might help. Does this happen rolling both directions?

yes both left and right, but not forward backward flips!!
I cannot make it do it any other way other than rolls, not even very sharp left and right input. It has to be complete rolls. My rates a very sedate (by 3D standards)as well as I typically fly FAI style maneuvers.
