Have you tried this engine? I hear its good and makes more torque than the OS Hyper 50.

Will it fit the Knight3D without any mods?

Hi, a friend of mine is trying it on a knight.

He is still running in so i cant coment on performance, but for instalation you have to file the top engine mount a little to clear the carb..

Allan, think the top engine mount could be fliped upside down, this will raise the unit slightly, looking at the picture there looks like it might be enough to clear the carb.. well most of it!

Might be worth a try, on the next one..

(gunnell_s) still owes me money!

hi erl.

About 2 / 3 galons trhu the engine, allready leaned in and at 2000 rpm it doesnt have that much power as everyone says...

The crank is all rusted also..

I recomended my friend trying more RPMīs, maybe he is out off the torke band.. He will test 2200 but weather isnt cooperating..

I just got my 53H in the mail. I have the Align anf the mp5 pipe. Which do you think will work better with this engine?

i have about a gallon on my redline now and its running nicely on the MP5 certainly comparable to a new hyper.

It looks in that picture like the mount has to be ground to fit properly? I'm trying to fit one to the Knight Pro right now and it won't clear the carb unless I grind away some of the ring mount.

I also had to grind the upper mount to clear the carb. It didn't take much.

i just trimmed the rubber lip in the mounting ring around the carb, turn it upside down so that the right sits a little higher too.

im very impressed with this engine, easily as much power as a hyper will be interesting to see how it holds up in the long term

I got the Redline .53 installed. Everything lined up. I had to put a little pressure on the fan shroud, it fits tight against the edge of the engine, it does not slip over it. I ground the aluminum ring mount a little to clear the carb as others have mentioned.
