Hey, what's going on in this thread?

Look for me on the flight line. Nitro or Electric?

Wow that takes me back to my early adolescent years... good times... looks like a neat event, might have to roll down :-) I've been practicing my map reading skills and I believe Maryland is closer than Alabama from NJ...

depending on if its allowed or not, i may try to make it a 2 day event, because it is almost 5 hrs away.

Man... this is sooo cool that you guys are coming... Thank You!!

It will be great to see you!!

Do you guys want this to be a 2 day event? We have a very cool group of guys in this club (truly)... and it probaly would be just fine with them. Just need to make sure we are not pissing off too many plankers for Sunday... but I know they are all pretty excited about the event anyways

Night flying if we do?

Need to get the guys from Lums to come down... we are only an hour and a half from them.

Brian has some buddies at MHA... and he tells me a bunch of them are also coming over.

Jeff Green confirmed he is still coming... wants to know if anyone has anything he can fly (really... he did say that)

Bring your CDs and MP3 players... we can play what ever you want to fly to

Let me know if you really would like to do a 2 day event... and we will make it happen if we can. I am sure we can get the food setup for two days... that I know is not a problem.

THANKS Everyone!!

Brent

I would love a 2 day event, thst would be extra incentive for myself and others that live farther away i would think.

definitely 2 days if is possible. its easier to justify the drive if we can get 2 full days of flying in.

either way though, i'll be there.

Made some calls on my way to work this morning, about extending it to 2 days.

So far everyone was cool with making it a 2 day event, just not sure it will be quite as organized on Sunday... but they ALL said - "at the very least, everyone is very much welcome to just stay over and fly with us on Sunday... you just may need to fly some with plankers"

Considering our guys get along really well together, and they all appreciate us heli guys the same as everyone else (truly, we are lucky in that respect)... that would be just fine with everyone.

Will keep you posted as to the food and stuff... but let's fly on Sunday also!!

Lots.

You would probaly get your best rate in Cambridge, MD. (21613), or try Easton, MD. (21601). They are both close to the field. Cambridge may be a little less expensive.

If enough people want a room... I can call and see if I can get us a group rate. A friend owns the Holiday Inn Express - and I would start with him.

I think I am just going to call him anyways, and ask. I know he will want a number eventually - so post and let me know... but I will see what I can do to get the ball rolling.

Would a Fri-Sat ot Sat-Sun event be better? Or officially a two day Fri-Sat with Sunday being an open day so the plankers can return and those that live a ways can start on the trip home say around 12-2? Any thoughts Brent? Friday could just be an open fly day. Thats the way most FF's are anyway.

That is also fine!!

Actually I was expecting some guys to start over Friday - and they are more than welcome to fly on Friday as soon as they get here.

If you guys want it to be more official on Friday (PA system, some food, etc.) - I am sure we can do that. Just let me know.
