I'm cross posting this to get as my feedback as I can get.

I picked this up today from my LHS and I thought I could use it on the 200. Is this a good place to mount the gyro for this little thing? Or is it better up front? Suggestions welcome. Thanks.

IMHO that gyro is too big, it looks even bigger than a 401, you would most definately want the gyro more up front to help with CG issues.

Well since you asked...

I don't like the angle. I would prefer the mounting plate to be perpendicular to the main shaft.

The gyro may not like being that close to the motor.

I suspect that you will have a tail heavy helicopter if you mount the gyro back there.

this is a reverse angle of the other pic. i think this should work out pretty good as far as cg is concerned.

i ordered it from helihobby.com i suspect that if this heli takes off, gorilla gear will follow suit. the cf landing gear isn't that tough either, but my heli was damaged in shipping, and the stock gear was broke. the flybar was bent too.
