This is a bit left field but try having a look at the backplate gasket. I remember a petrol motor that wouldn't shut off in flight. It had a leaky gasket between the cylinder and a crankcase. Could be worth a look.

Mine does the same thing

My TT Pro 90 has done the same thing for a long time. Tried everything, but it will continue to run with the throttle completely closed. I have been flying it for about a year.

Flying along today without problem when the engine suddenly leaned out, made a pop sound, engine died and I had to auto. Got it down in one piece. The engine is toasted, opened it up and metal pieces fell out. I guess I don't have the problem with running with throttle closed anymore.

My OS50 SX-H did that recently - after engine removal and inspection the housing was scored - the cylinder had a ding in it and piston ring was shattered with the piston having a chunk taken out of its top. Crank was fine though lol.

I shall stick to OS hypers ( like i used to ) Never used a TT and never will. Well maybe i may try the RedLine

The only cure for a TT90 is an OS90 or YS90. I got no joy out of my Raptor either with a TT70 or the TT90. When I finally put an OS91 SZH in I had a heli I really enjoyed. Starts first time & I just spend the time at the club flying, not tweaking.

BTW, using a 3001 on the tail might make a man of you, but admitting it will probably not get the desired respect from your flying buddies!

Update Budgie - Nitro production being cut by the sounds of it ( not entirely sure of that though ) so you wont be able to afford to fly your 90 on Nitro mixed fuel . even on your favorite mix dont worry im poor too

Yep, I'm buying extra nitro and fuel to stock up! However, I'm enjoying my electric heli almost more that the 90! Once the Beijing games are over things should return to normal, we hope!
