I didn't even think of taking pictures at Toledo. Oh well.

Everything that has been said here was backed up there: it will be 2048 resolution with 2.4 and only G3 PCM receivers. He said using receivers like the 148 (I think that's a PCM) will be 1024; the 9C module will work in the 10C; it is supposed to be a replacement to the 9C; and that it should be out in May.

Is the antenna still sticking out too far to put the tx down on the bench like this

The way the module works with the antenna, there is a couple of bumps on the module. Makes setting it down very easy and keeps everthing else off the ground (or bench). Almost like a built in stand.

I could have sworn the one I played with at Toledo had the antenna "in front" of the handle nearest the back of the case...But now I can't quite remember.

Yes hopefully it will be like the 14MZ module with the aerial closer to the case, inside the handle.

Yeah! From the above picture there is obviously enough room to put the antenna in front of the handle.

Could it be that they sold out of the April allocation for pre-orders, and late-May represents the second batch?

worth the wait?

hi guys, hey i'm new here, but not new to modeling.
i've been on the wait list for the 10C and like you all, i keep looking for any new info on this radio.
i have only tried copter flying a couple times, but although i liked it, i still get drawn back into airplanes........mostly what i fly is scale WWI stuff with a couple aerobatic 4 stroke planes for fun. but i have my sites set on flying helis by the end of the year.
question i have is, am i overequipping myself by going ahead with a radio like the 10C?

or should i go with something like the 7C?

my current radio is the 6EX 2.4 (this radio is what brought me back after a 15 year layoff) but it is quite limited.

Overequipping?

It would be easy to suggest that if your 6EX does the job why go to even a 7C? They are all super radios.
I have a 6EX 2.4GHZ for my Mini Titan and Mini Ultra Stick. I also own a very early 9C on 72MHz and have on order a 10C. If you compare the specifications of the 3 radios I think you will find that the 7C is the best value, $ per feature.
Having said that do you really want to pay the money for a new 7C when you have a fine radio in the 6EX, albeit with a few less features?
Bottom line; any of the radios will work fine for you, it depends how much you want to afford and whether you can justify the cost in your own mind.
In my case I wish to replace my aging 9C with a similar spec 2.4GHz radio, hence at least a 10C, and could not justify the additional cost for a 12FG since the extra features are ones that I doubt I will use.
Safe flying, Peter

A good balance

I think a 10C would be a good fit for your needs- and room to grow.
You already enjoy a variety of models. The 10C will handle all of them plus be ready when you add more, especially helis. If (when) you get a nitro heli with an advanced gyro, a governor and CCPM, you will be using a good amount of the 10C's capacity and ( assuming it is as easy to program as my early 9C), you will appreciate the relative ease of setting all that up.

hey thx for making the decision easy.
my 6 EX works fine and has assured me at this time that 2.4 was the right choice as it has been rock solid and what a joy to pull in and just start flying anytime i'm ready. the shortcomings i have with the radio is lack of the features i need that are offered on the 7C.
with the 10C being 2048, and having servo grouping along with bigger LCD and possibly better stick assemblies, i guess it was a no-brainer on which to choose.
funny, when i was younger (than the 52 yrs i am now) i would buy by impulse, but nowadays i get way too anal about this stuff.

thx
mike

What do you mean by servo response being slow?

The 10C Fasst will be fast?

The latency values will be aligned to DX7 or t14mz?

Thanks.

Updated page of 10C.
You will see all the new details and finish prototype. so good.
2048 resolution, 7 points curves, backlight LCD...Tx manual coming soon

I dont know if software will be available in other languages.
Why Tx Battery is not 7.2V as the first prototype ?

Awesome! Looks like a great radio! Judging by the picture on that link, the antenna is still behind the handle...

I hate to judge just based off the way the antenna comes off the module, but it sure is ugly. Not very clean looking. It would have been nice had they made it look like the 14 channel module where it goes practically vertical right off the module.

I'm trying to decide if I want to stick with Futaba and go this route, or go with the JR 9 channel...

2048 resolution in FASST 10-channel mode
]
I LOVE futaba, I really do, but reading this it will only be 2048 in fasst mode, so it will be 1024 in 72mhz mode. Very creative wording.

The 2048 will be a function of the reciever as much as the TX. The G3 PCM reciever on 72mhz is 2048 and will be a choice to go "backward" on, that is what I read in these post. Looks like you can use this TX with the older Freq modules on PPM or PCM from park flier stuff up to all the newer 2.4 Futaba stuff. Buy one now and have the High End in your hand with a 14 channel reciever and capable of all using it also with all of the backward stuff. ( Of coarse not the old AM stuff.) As for the antenna, it rotates and changes angle in any direction and can be rotated and angled to be in front of the Tx handle. What I am unsure of is if you have to remove the 72 mhz antenna when you use the 2.4 FASST module. My guess is that you have to remove it. Hope it has a home in the Tx to put it in like the 14 Mz does. Hope that answers some questions correctly.

I have a question guys:

If the 10C will operate with a 9C module (TM-8?) will it only transmit 8 channels ?

Or will there be a 10 channel module coming out ?
