I was also sad to find the raven 50 had been discontinued.

Where have you seen this?

When I look at Century's web site, in dosen't seem to be discontinued!

Hey All,

Oh yeah I totally agree on the spares availability issues Century have had in recent times, these were largely due to the switch of operations to their new purpose built factory. However as you have all mentioned in this game spares availabilty can make or break a sale of a machine.
As a rep/sponsored flier promoting a series of models which are good quality and fly very well, to hear of spares supply problems is a nightmare for us. This is one area all Century reps are badgering to address and it is working with new supplies getting to shops quicker than before. Unfortunately there is still hiccups for which the likes of myself can only appologise for and hope that our loyal supporters will patiently wait for us to fulfil their parts orders.

The harsh reality is that no company is without issues, even the other more prominant names have spares problems at some stages I have read. Of course that is of no concern if you are waiting for your heli suppliers to provide the spares backup.

The Raven 50 has been dropped in the UK only market place, it is still for sale in the US.

Another sad drop in the UK was the much loved Hummingbird, but then again we have a new toy to play with that is a little more advanced and capable so it's cool.

HAWK PRO

HI RICHARD MILTON pluckin pheasent

this thread has been brought to my attention from a fellow hawk pilot who thinks you are totally out of order, as i do my self.

the email i sent you about your products was privat to you and privat from me with no permision for you to post it on this site.

at no time did i call you a lier i just pointed out the facts as they were laid out before me and also asked you to contact me, at no point have you recontacted me, instead you have bad mouthed our products on the web with no foundation for doing so.

if you had contacted me you would have found that i was going to offer you some items at a lower price from models that we have striped for spare parts but i am sorry to say you preferred to slag us instead.

i have no problem with replaccing product that is faulty from manufacture and reguarly do so, but when the part is distroyed by a third party then a replacment is not going to happen.

i would sugest the the old saying of washing your problems in public have back fired on this occasion.

i do not post very often but am alway's avalable to discuss matters the old fashioned way iether face to face or over the phone.

Mark Tilbury.

Final Solution

I would just like to thank 'MIDLAND HELICOPTERS' for helping me and believing in what I was saying with regard to the faulty parts. I should now be able to start building my heli again.

The biggest mistake I made was not going back to the retailer in the first place.

Thanks for all the advice from the Forum Members.

This experience has taken the edge off my excitement to fly helis but fingers crossed the buzz will come back soon.

May bump into some of you at the Southern Model Show this year.
