Very nice looking. I wish they would have designed the frames so the servos went directly to the swash. It seemed like they could lose a lot of weight by eliminating all the bellcrancks and hardware for that system. I am very interested to see how it flies and what the pricing will be....Ron

Actually push-pull is better than direct drive. the load is distributed equally on the server <servo :-)> instead of on 1 side.

This looks good.

You mean on the servo? Even if so I can't see that benefit outweighing the savings in weight.....Ron

Servo, right :-) Had too much server talk today :-)

I guess there are, like it's easier to adjust the 90 degrees angle.

But I really like bellcranks, it kind of make the distribution of the forces more logical, like some of the force from swash is handled by the bolt in the bell crank alone and the torque is transfered to the servo equally to the sides. It kind of makes sense to me.

This swift 700 looks like electric predator :-) I guess it would need 10S minimum, and I hope it has enough space for 12S.
I would probably do a belt drive from motor to the main gear. This would save the main gear and make the whole thing very quiet.

I think a heli that big needs battery mounting on the sides, like an Ion. One 6S 5000 on each side. With a canopy that will cover it. And frames to protect, at least the front of the packs. Many people already have these size packs. I will not buy any more heli's that need "special" packs.

Hi All,

Wow. That is a sharp looking heli with lots of bling. Good to see that they'll be giving Align a run for their money. The motor looks a bit heavy though.

How far away from production is it? How much will it cost?? Got a picture with the canopy???

Keep 'em flying.
LJS

PS Looking at it closer, that appears to be a design optimized for aerobatics. The motor is as high as you can get it and so are the batteries. Nice job Century! If their pricing is as good as on their other products, it should be a winner.

NICE !

This is were the swift line should have started, good job Century.

I just hope that you gave the head 14 deg pitch with 8deg cyclic with out binding, if so I think this maybe a winner!

I had a talk with a Century service rep about some missing parts for my Swift last week ( which they got to me very quickly. Thanks Century) In the process I asked him about the 700. He wasn't too forthcoming with info but I did manage to find out a few things.

According to the rep there are only two in the US at this point and one is in early flight testing. It's big, with a tail boom longer than some 90 size helis. It's also so new that they don't even have a name for it yet and no idea when it'll hit the market.

He also mentioned seeing a video of it in flight. I asked him to send me a link to that vid and was told it's company eyes only right now.

Crying shame that.

Stunning but who ever fitted that tail servo should be shot , looks like they cut the servo horn with a bread knife and just did not bother putting a nut on the back of the ball link or removing the lower one.
Looks like its on display some where too .
