I'm running about 36:1 in mine. Still plenty of oil in case I make a tuning mistake. I did run 32:1, but I though it might run just a wee bit smoother at 36:1. Maybe it does, and maybe not....it does run really good now though. I also think it takes at least 2 or 3 gallons to get these engines close to broken in. I know some folks run certain brands or oil at 50:1, but you have to be "on top" of the tuning. Oil is by far the cheapest thing about flying this heli and I'm not worried about spending more money by running 36:1...

Finally! Some Video

Hi guys, I finally had a chance to shoot a small video of the beast on its last tank of running-in. This is the end of its third gallon, still running rich. Sorry about the vid quality, used my basic digital still camera set up on my windowsill. Hope somebody likes it. Cheers, kosta.

Love the video Kosta really good if thats a ordinary vid can you come to Kinglake and video my one as well. Its funny cause it looks the same as mine OD26 we will have to paint the canopies different colors so we don't crash into one another. Great job my good man.

Thanks Paul, yeah we really gotta paint our canopies. I was waiting to finish breaking in and get her flying good with a governor, ie get all the setup completed and flying reliably. Would of hated ruining a pretty canopy cause she wasn't reliable.

I'm waiting on a GV-1 and stator gator that I bought here on RR to turn up. I'm probably gonna need some help from the guru's here to set it up right since I'm using a Hitec eclipse 7ch tx. You gonna run a governor on yours Paul? Kosta.

No i dont think it needs it, as im thinking of going scale seems you can run a low head speed with plenty of pitch and it handles it fine. All that juicy fat torque I supose, like it sort of doesnt need one I recon. Im even thinking of the 13 tooth pinion , just seems these engines love to be loaded up, like a chainsaw I supose. Ive got lots of nitro machines for reving the crap out of. I found that after I put the TREX tail hub on I got rid of a lot of the tail wag, then I mucked around with the gyro and added expo to the rudder and got it great in the end, which is funny cause ive never had to add expo with any other heli, must be the gas thing. I stuck a new G770T and 8900g servo in a vigor cs the other day, UNBELEIVABLY GOOD gyro II tell ya.
Cheers
