Aerobatic FAI F3C Contest > Any precision heli pilots in TX?

I fly Pattern planes (FAI), and also fly helis. I enjoy the Precision over 3D. It seems like all the top 3D guys have some F3C experience. I like to compete and fly, but F3C seems like a tiny interest group. Could someone piont me in the right direction for F3C?
Thanks Dylan

I am a F3C pilot that lives in Texas. I just moved here 2 weeks ago (Austin, Texas). I have not found any F3C pilots here yet, but I have not started flying yet (My helicopters are still stuck in customs...).

I am here if you need help.

F3C Pilots in Texas

Curtis Youngblood lives near Austin Texas. He's a pretty good FAI pilot. <g>

Hey,

Yeah, that would be nice to have Curtis show/help with setup, but I am thinking he is kind of a busy guy.

I finally received my helicopters, and I am almost done with the setup/assembly of my Freya. I have even started the engine after it's been sitting for more than 7 months. Seems to have survived the storage.

So if anyone wants to fly F3C with me, let me know...

Will you be making the Nashville contest? It'd be a good primer for you to see contest flying here in the States.

Hi Erich,

I would love to come to Nashville. I will see if it is possible. Me and my wife have now both got jobs here, and the bad thing is that she will be working half saturdays...We can always make it work though. We are also house hunting which is stress full, so we pretty busy until we get settled down.

I was thinking of participating, but probably not the F3C class since I have not done the C schedule yet. Which class is the one below F3C? That might be a good start for me (I haven't flown for more than 7 months now). I am a member of AMA, is that the only thing I need to compete?

When is the Nashville competition?

Well, after hibernating for more than 7 months my XSpec had a premier flight on American ground today. Everything went pretty good, boy do I feel the difference between my 9Z and my new 12Z radio

Now I need to work on tweaking the curves and tuning the engine + all that that comes with setting up a "new" helicopter.

Hey,

It is nice to be "settled" in.

I feel more connected to the helicopter, it is much smoother, and I like the ease of programming, the screen....
