Does anyone have a pic of some 8717's installed in a Stratus?

I have 8717 in my new Stratus and all I can say is AWESOME!! Blazing fast and very accurate. They fit perfectly as well!! I went with the gold CNC JR arms from Horizon Hobby.

Thanks fella's. What arms are those you are using?
Can you post a link to the gold arms you are reffering to?

I am using the only arms that were long enough to fit that came with the 8717s. The Stratus uses some pretty long arms to get the correct geometry. The wheels that come with the servos are just a little too small. The only problem was I couldn't get the arms perfectly 90 in either direction so all 3 of my cyclic servos needed subtrim They fly very well, but they make the heli very sensitive, even with expo.

Here are some closer pics of the servos. They fit without any modifications. (the rest of the heli isn't looking so great after the last flight )

The metal arms are not a good idea and the long HD arms are not good enough for the twisting that will happen with an offset ball.
The Airtronics wheels 98324 have been discontinued. Has anyony found these in stock or have an alternative?

Here's what i used for arms, you can get exactlly 90 degrees with by drilling them after you install them. I had trouble finding arms long enough for the JR servo's. I made them from some scrap carbonfiber and bolted them to some round plastic wheeels.

I think JR now makes a large HD servo wheel. I remember seeing them at my LHS when I was home. I am having a hard time finding them at Horizon though.

How big are they compared to the large Futaba wheels?

HD JR Servo wheels

They are smaller than the Futaba wheels. I have not found any JR wheel that will allow 20mm from center. I just use HD arms instead.

The big JR wheel is 35mm in diameter with the furthest hole out 16mm from the center, the next hole is 15mm out. Airtronics plastic servo wheels will work on JR servos,i have used them.

Those do look nice! Too much work to do by hand. I hate working with Carbon. TeamBob00 showed me some JRPA207 they are a real HD 20mm arm that may work.
There must not be many using the 8717 on MA stuff or just not properly. With that power and speed and say 15 degrees+ collective, extreme cyclic and extreme flying those arms are going to twist and not transmit all that speed and torque.

the jr metal arms work awesome and I am exactly 20 mm from center as per the manual. They will never break no matter how much you throw at them. I spoke directly with tim at min air and he said the metal would not be a problem. The arms are hangar 9 part number han3574 and are available from horizon hobby. I bolted my ball links right on. I will try to take photos and upload tomorrow.

Here are the photos.. I decided to take them tonight. Also The hole size is 4-40, which is slightly larger than the ball stud. I have mine secured with a nut and washer with lock tite and it has not moved. You can also fill in the hole with JB weld, let it sit overnight and drill out the hole to the correct size so it is a very tight fit.
