Howdy fellas == got the swash correct now -- seem to be having an issue with the tail gear and shaft now :0(

My other 2 helis to check the belt tension I hold the head and spin the tail to find where it clicks (skips) -- this tail wont do that -- are your guys the same way? So I can hold the tail and spin it either direction and it doesnt catch-- I can see the shaft spnning but the gear doesnt move. Just wondered if this is normal for this bird.

No, That is wierd. Check the one-way bearing and main gear hub. I had a guy in California that had an issue like that and it was the hub not seated with the one-way. He contacted Global the US distributer about it and had a part in hand the next day.

This is directly from their website. *****

Thanks -- 99.9% sure the gear is shot on the tail shaft. I can hold the head and spin the tail watching the tail shaft spin and the gear not. Going to take er apart tonite and find out for sure. Thanks for the words

Good luck Markus, I used to live in Watertown. Great country up there. Bit cold for us California kids though.

LOL on the Watertown -- I am about 30 - 35 miles south west of Watertown but not to much for the temp difference :0)

It was definataly the tail shaft -- I replaced it and all is well now. The gear was split right next to the side and never showed till I replaced it. -- wierd -- they should come out with a metal gear on it so that wont happen. Still have tail issuees tho -- when i dump the throttle it turns counterclockwise quite a bit and didnt before. I used to run a spektrum digi on the tail and switched to a hd digi. hmmm will have to swap back and see what happens, and maybe up my throttle curve :0)

Wish I was in Cali :0)

The full SE version may have that aluminum pulley not sure yet though. I'll ask Global about it. Might as well have an upgrade you can bump it upto.

California isn't always that grand.... A few months back we actually got rained on. I mean isn't that what Colorado sends us water for?

Oswego wasn't bad I think it was the point that the grey line of clear and clouds started. Begining of the lake effect up there. All I remember was grey clouds for 9 months. Yes and the detail of O-My-God cold still gives me shivers. They used to bring the guys from alaska to Ft. Drum for winter training. That is just plain bone chillen cold.

California is great though. I would suggest making the trip out and saying hey to everyone.

Bob,
That has crossed my mind but I am far from you guys in experience and only hover around and starting foward flight. If ya call it that -- lol out 25 or 30 feet and back -- all tail in :0)but I'm learning. I am planning on gettin up that way soon -- side jobs been keeping me to busy to fly even :0(

Eric,
Funny you mentioned the SE version -- my LHS talked to Global and they knew nothing of an SE version and that was about 3 weeks ago ? Got any pages of interest? lol on the Cali and the rain -- we are finally up to around 55 average days so warmer weather is coming sooner or later.

That would cover about 80% of us. That is why we get together and fly. Our first night of flying was almost total electric, except for one nitro machine. Come on out!
