Does anyone use the XPS system for Xtreme?

I experience blanking out when the heli is high above and tail in to me. the Rx was sitting on the front battery tray with antenna up.
I'm wondering if it's the position or onboard system.

I'm using the XPS system with my Xtreem, have not had a troubles, but don't have much flight time on it. Are you sure you have the TX set on the high power setting?

Yup, I had it on the high setting.

However I'm not sure if my align 2 in 1 is playing a part in that lost of signal.
The worst case was about 2-3 secs when i actually had to run after my xtreme which i sent up for an auto. I regained control and i managed to bring it down for a shaky landing.

I would not fly it again, and get with XPS. They are NOT supposed to do that, and you probably have some faulty equipment.

couple of things, I have been running a XPS in my two Xtremes for over 90 flights and have not a had a single issue to date. I have also been running the Align 2 in 1 as well, without issue, but check your 2 in 1's wires as they have a record of coming loose from the inside where the power leads go in, I hot glue these area and all is held tight this way.
If you don't find a loose wire I would have the XPS reciever checked, as I said I have not had a single time where my XPS system has let me down.

I haven't used it ever since.
Switched back to FM and everything works perfect.
I'm curious about the shadowing of signals for the XPS.

Yup, i've took care of the wires from the 2in1. mine's the cased version now.
Maybe i'll check it out again when i get a different regulator.

Where do you guys mount the xps rx?

Ammo,

What radio are you using?

I'm running one on a Futaba 9C and the other is on a Futaba 9Z, I know about the PPM issue with the 9Z and up until this past weekend I havn't had a problem, now I need to send my 9Z in for service because it is now twitching one servo, eveything I've read about the XPS and the 9Z once it comes back from Futaba servie center the problem is corrected, it doesn't show up on the PCM side.

I'm using the multiplex evo12, i've taken note of the ch allocation uncompaitabilty issue they have with too much channels etc with the mpx system.

My range checks with the xps also shows a very bad shadow at the rear of the heli within a certain distance.

But since all of you have no issues with the XPS on the Xtreme, I think mine's a unique situation. I have no problems with the Spektrum or PPm system on the Xtreme at all.
