| Im still waiting for parts HBK-2, and flying more with the Trex 450 "Free Sim", than I do with the FMS. ThAre I fly the Bell 47, and the Hughes 500-900, and cant help my self and put it in Follow-View. Yr right behind the Heli. Its just so real life, and it's become a bit boring. With the Trex sim, you cant do that, and yr on the ground, looking up. I have found out that the Sport, feels more like the real thing. NOW, Im going back to 1978. Shultter Heli-Baby, and Kavan 206 JR. No gyros or anything. One thing we had to learn back then is the lag-time. About 1 1/2 sec. from input. This is just like flying real chopers. You input the stick, and 1 1/2 secs. later you get the movement. Soooooo, hovering is a wait-a-sec. and "Then" add differant input. Its what busted-up more stuff. After 30 years of not touching a thing, it only took 10-12 mins. and im back hovering, and getting the hang of it again. I've not seen anybody say anything about "Lag-Time"........ ! On Heli-Sim, when I get a bit to far behind my self, I just put it in forward flite and fly around till it gets to far away, try and nose it back at me, if I lose it,"CRASH", and hit re-start. Flite, is eazy for me, hover WAS, REAL Choper. The sim hasent got Real Lag Time, "But-Close". The Trainer, gave me the most Fit's........! It seem'ed more like 4 Secs. I was all over the place. The key, back then, and im sure now is, learning the Lag-Curve, for hovering. 1 input,,,,,,reaction. 2nd input,,,,,,2nd reaction. If you dont wait and see what you've done, and you input again, you'll be so far behind the stick, you'll neaver know why it "Spun-In". Hovering, is constant "LITTLE-MOVES" on the stick. I flew "Planks", and thAre is no Lag-Time. Move Alerion, and bird gos thAre,,,,Right-Now. Chopers, and evan the Real Ones, have lag-time. I hope I've helped a few. When you get it at chest-leavel, and can hover in control, "The Fun Starts" Dont Give-Up. Try learning Morse Code at 25 Words Per Min. for your Han Radio Ticket. Did that too. |
