have been challenged to take on a scale project by, we'll leave names out of it ...Tryan....so it's on, getting the EC-145

need to know how to flip the tail, guess it's simple, but i wanna make sure it's done right, any control issues i should be aware of?

here's what i see: servo hanging on the left side of the boom, control arm now on the right, pitch control arm on top, don't see any thing in the way of movement thus far, hold on, tail blade rotation, would i have to change the belt 1/4 turn the other way?

i suck at this, but having the time of my life with it!

tail flip success, had to loose the horiz fin to allow control linkage travel, servo slightly canted for alignment of stock linkage, that will be the next to go

Damn I like this guy he took a smart@$$ challenge and ran with it good for you. This long distance scale relationship may stand the test of time.

See what you started slider

The next step is reversing the main rotor direction as most helis are counter-clockwise rotation in the real world.....

how about mounting the motor below the motor mount, thus changing rotor direction, hmmm, clearance issue with battery tray to main frame attachment?

To change the rotoation of the main rotor is
1 reverse any 2 wires on your bl motor
2 pull your autor rotation bearing and put it back in backward from the way it is now.
3 Flip your main blades over facing the other way...
That should get your main rotor turning the other way....

ok, got it, as for the tail rotor, wouldn't the rotation change as well, have change the blade direction when i flipped it...currently main rotor and tail spinning as they should

The tail rotor will be turning downward, so you might have to flip the belt again to change the rotation.... Then we have the cascading 4 bladed tail rotor to add....

You should do some research and see which way the rotors turn on the bell 222 just so you don't change something that doesn't need to be changed...

first low level hover, very promising, a few more tweaks and i think she'll be ok, gyro and tx settings had to be reversed like slider stated...more updates to, gotta wait for the wind to calm down

It's coming together nicely pretty soon you'll have your bell 222 body on there and join the scale fliers club.... I keep looking at the 5 blade main rotor and had my finger on the trigger but I just spent close to a grand this weekend on 6s 5000mah batteries, 2 3s 2100 lipos, and a charger for them, some spare servos and parts....

getting the EC-145 fuse, need to tweak a little more, she tends to roll a bit to the left when light on the skids, give it a little right stick to level her out, may not get to fly 'til friday, too windy today and i've got to work 3/10's this week, byt the time i get home it's dark
