I just picked up a 400 pro from ebay. Looks to have a align metal head on it. It has some binding but ill take care of that on the rebuild. My first question is which motor are you guys flying? I was thinking the JGF 500TH but after reading about it it may be too much.
Im into FFF w/areobatics and im just getting started on 3D with some tumbles.Id like to get something that will 3D well, and handle some of the more demanding menuvers. Anyway im going with a CC p-35 for control, what would be a good match for motor?
Also im thinking of going with hitec HS-56 servos, i saw sum of you were using them over the 55s. What would be a good holding tail servo? I have a beetle HH now but this may change to a 401.

just thought of another question. IM planning on going with the MJP carbon frames. Im gona switch to CCPM, will the align swashplates work on this? Seems easier to find them.

I like the JGF500th I bought for my MX-450xs after reading the pro's and cons of the top brushless motors. For the money it's one of the best.

Alot of people swear by the HS-65's and I'm one of them!

I have Futaba S3153 digital which is rock solid with my GY-401.

I had to file the holes bigger, but not much, they would almost fit. You need a small flat or half round file. You could use a Dremel tool but it's easyer to get it even with a file in my opinion.

450th is a killer little motor and the cc35 esc would
make a killer combo. The 500 is overkill. 65mg's are
outstanding servos and nearly indestructable. They're
also heavy. 56hb's are lighter and slightly quicker and
cheaper. They're great if your not crash prone and pretty
tough if you are. 430l is also a cool motor but it really
stresses the main gear. You need a soft start esc definately
and a tiny pinion to get the right operating range and head
speed. Helimax should have went with a 150 tooth main like
Align.
