HDX has a fan but is a little bit more noisy, or so I'm told. The Esky is a nice shade of purple and will go well with the rest of the purple parts if you choose to go that route. Power rating is available for the Esky but not the HDX so we cant' really compare them.

The 300HDX is a 23 amp motor with a claimed 98% efficiency. I don't believe that for a second. I go with 90% and still come up with 229 max watts. Even if the efficiency is a little lower, that's a good honkin' little motor, especially for about $20. I've used the 300HDX 4200kv since early November thru 100+ flights and it's never let me down.

Also using the Dynam 30A ESC. Nice ESC for the price, once you get used to easing into the throttle to spool up. No soft-start option, but that hasn't been a problem for me. I have a soft touch.

Pumping your fist and yelling, "COME ON!!!" does not increase battery charge rate.
