Just for kicks I took the Blade CP Pro out in the backyard for a flight a few minutes ago, now I remember what a P.O.S. these things are

It was, ummmm... a short flight that ended in....

... you guessed it... a crash...

Spooled up OK, got off the ground, and then the pin that locks the head to shaft either broke or flew out, down it went!

Earlier I had a couple smooth practice flights on the King 2, then I had to go and tempt fate by trying to fly an inferior machine

I know better now, I'm going to strip the electronics off the Blade chassis and build up something else that will at least be capable of flight.

Anyone want a barebones CP Pro with a belt drive tail?

I learned to fly on a Trex, I learned to crash on a Blade CP...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6I2Bax9bve4 Man OH man, Can I identify with you. Its easy to forget how unstable they are compared to the King. Here's a small sample of a typical flight with the so-called PRO !!!

I still have mine sans the servos which are in the HBK2. I was thinking about upgrading the King's servos and returning the Blade to flying status. I figured that now that my skills have progressed, perhaps I can fly this thing. I guess that's not likely.

You will fly it better than you did before but it will instantly give you appreciation for the stability the KING has. I'm farting around with the CP2 now but it is no where near where my frankenKING is as far as stability and performance. It feels like an unstable toy in comparison, like something you could get at K_MART

Just remember that cp is what got you flying in the first place, and sharpened your skills to where they are now..... The king is a 100 times a better heli with a belt driven tail... But the cp is still a great heli for a beginer to start with. It will test your reflexes to no end but when you move on the better heli is so much easier to fly and do all of those moves that scared you with the little cp....
You have to respect anyone that can fly them well, because of the skill level that is involved.....

there weren't enough local available parts for me to fly a cp pro anymore LHS would have to order them. Then I started ordering them, then they were on backorder then I bought the king. AAAHHH thats better.

Even if it is a TRIX FIX...right old timer?

Agree 100%

Pumping your fist and yelling, "COME ON!!!" does not increase battery charge rate.
