Aerobatic FAI F3C Contest > Paddle weight - Per paddle, or per set?

When people talk about running "40g" paddles, or "50g", or whatever the weight, is that referring to individual paddle weight or the weight of 2 paddles as a set? I know that according to the manufacturer, mine are supposed to weigh 45 grams, but I don't have a gram scale to determine which weight that is.

That's what I always thought, until I saw this link:

They're only 40 grams per set, and I thought "that sounds way too light for a good FAI paddle". Then I started second-guessing myself, and here we are.

You'll generally see heavier paddles in FAI and supper light in 3D...dampening!
