I never did fly the pro I got a few circles in before I gave up on it worst money I ever spent. heli $250 another $250+ in spare parts. But the little SOB got me hooked. But I was still able to sell it for a few bucks. I almost spent a fortune in upgrades but fender made me buy a king. I cant thank him enough for it.

I actually started with a Trex, then for some strange reason I got a Blade CP

I could hover and do basic flight on the Trex, but could NOT do the same with the Blade. I'd get so frustrated trying to get the Blade to hover, I'd have to go outside with theTrex and hover a pack just to prove to myself it was the heli, not me.

Finally found a setup that worked on the CP Pro...

My favorite 300 series is now...

My favorites at either end of the scale...

I learned to fly on a Trex, I learned to crash on a Blade CP...

ahhh, my first, it sucked syma dragon fly FP, american rev. mantis (old gasser) and now the king 2...thinking 'bout getting a second, barebones as the backup, that way when i crash, not if, when, i'll be able to fly again

i suck at this, but having the time of my life with it!

1. Early '70's - Pull-string type heli that launched from a hand-held thingie - actually flew very well.
2. Late '70's - Cox 4-bladed Lama-looking Gasser that just went up 'til the gas ran out, and auto'd down.

The seed was planted. The addiction was born. Fast-forward to February 2007:

3. Air Hogs Reflex, followed in rapid succession by:
4. Several Havocs
5. Honey Bee FP

Skills improved, so on to:

6. Honey Bee CP2 (an absolute nightmare)
7. MX400 - Flew great, but it financially and emotionally pushed me to the brink
8. The King. An absolute pleasure from the time I unboxed it.

These helis make me feel like a kid again.

Shizack, its true, these lil helis really do bring out the Kid in all of us. I have a kinda weird heli history. 10 years ago I got a Ikarus Eco 8 from Hobby-Lobby. It was one of the few electrics on the market, built the thing and I can tell you for SURE , the anticipation of flight whist biulding said heli was far greater than the first flight experiences I learned to fly it after a ton of crashes and spare parts. After three or four months I said screw heli's---they are high maintanence----switch to planes after that.
Then about a year and a half ago got a Walkera 60, after a ton of spare parts and some crashes I got an Eflite Blade CP--- easier to fix, very simple design, very unstable. Then comes the Blade CP PRO and ALL the upgrades that were sopposed to make it fly like a dream, But the dream turned into a NIGHTMARE! Then pondering a TRIX, but saying to myself---Self, it looks stable but a lil pricey, at that point already spending untold millions, the KING2 caught my eye and for $150 buckaroo's was the only heli out of the group that I thought was actually worth the money.
Oh yea somewhere in there, a Ikarus piccolo FP and a Kyosho Hyperfly(no tail rotor)(oh yeah---picco z's also)

I started with a toy 2ch dual rotor....it was bought for me because my nephews got 2 for christmas and I'm the cool uncle that does stuff like that with them....so I got one too.......loved it.hooked immediately..still have it.....when 1 of the motors burned out....went to HOBBYTOWN for parts....the guy said"cant get em"..."but I do have a heli I stock parts for".....BLADECX....something said "WAIT"...so came home and researched.....saw the CP online.....and here we are
in order:
2ch dual rotor
BLADE CP
MINI TITAN
HBK2
next will be MINI TITAN SE(feb)

also....Jwhitcare...is responsible for me picking the HBK.....we were PMing back and forth for about a week deciding between the Compy300 and HBK....I was ready to buy the Compy when we found some threads stating they need serious upgrading out of the box(just another BLADECP )...so I took a chance on the HBK...and it lead to this.....when I got mine......gyronut was the only other one here who had one...now......they're all over

I've always been into planes, but a few years ago the heli bug bit me. I bought a JR ergo 60 I had that for almost a year then crashed it when the mds 68 decided to burn a bearing out midflight, and I lost it. I eventually sold that off for parts too discouraged to rebuild it. Then about 1 month ago I went toys r us to spend some christmas money for my son, and we end up getting a few havoc helis. Boy did I get bitten by the bug again. Those things are a blast I still charge them up and play with them most nights. Now in about 2 months time I have a Kyosho EP400 Belt-cp Carbon, and a Honey bee King2. The king is awesome, I'm still a bit nervous to do anything past hovering with the belt, and the ep400 is waiting on some upgrade parts. I just ordered some air thunder 2200 25c packs I hope they will liven up my belt some. The couple of times I've flown the stock 1800 battery seemed to die quick after only a few mins of hovering. The only downside to this addiction is I'm now sleeping on the couch, and my bank card has been cut into little strips. The secret fund was found by the wife and she wasn't happy. I just need to keep buying smaller ones so I can hide them from her. I just can't wait till we goto florida for vacation and I make her goto Miniature Aircraft so I can buy a bandit. She will love that. hopefully they will be out by the time I go down there. I can't wait for some warm weather to fly in.

Ahhh, the pros and cons of being single/divorced:

Pros: No secret funds; all the "P" you can afford; helis and forums all day and night.

Cons: No "P" for miles around...

The cons win this round...
