Which battery size batter is recommended for a King? And, correct me if im wrong, is the connector you get have to be the same type as the ESC connector and you have to solder them on? If so, which connector does the esky battery and brushless ESC come with. Also, do you just connect the brushless motor to the ESC or do you need a special connector for that too?

Welcome Back Bunchkin. The 25 amp Brushless ESC comes with a Deans connector already installed. The motor to ESC are also installed and you just simply plug them in. If your motor runs backwards just switch any of the two wires and that will reverse the motors direction. Alot of guys are using 1350 MegaPower Bats but you could probably use almost any 11.1 volt Li-Po from 1000 -- 2100 mAH that has at least a 12C rating.

So you need the same type of connector for the battery and ESC then right?

ok, it all makes sense now. I think ill just get the male Deans connectors from Jaghobbies because i only need 2 and im ordering from there anyway.

One more thing, are there any places in particular with inexpensive batteries?

The megapower batteries are a cheap alternative. Tryan put one to the test and it lasted surprisingly long considering. Ask him and he will tell!

Ill tell you what I think about megapower just for the fun of it.

megapower packs I abused one to the max It was the only pack I had for six months. I overdischarged it every flight for about 250 flights before it started to puff a little I cycled the pack 6 times in one day. And put another 50 flights on it after that and it puffed to the point it was hard to remove it from the heli till it cooled down. Its one of the most durable packs Ive owned. I have since purchased a FMA direct cellpro revolution "N" series and have converted. It is a better quality pack it has a more constant output. Its also a 2100mah and for basic flight its the pack for the king it barely fits under the canopy but this will be the only pack I buy till I find something better. Also it will fit in a 450 size heli so it will pull double duty. Drawback is its a $50 pack

In puffies name lipos to everyone.

As for the double duty, I think i remember that too...

Burlyman, why do people, and yourself late at night (or early morning), call you TripleB. Its not like you have 3 B's in your name. Just curious.
