Just to let you guys know, Stefan Plöchinger is working on a new flybarless system which will be coming out in march.

The good thing, it costs 500€ and weights 20g,

I will give it a try translating.

What is Acro 3X

Acro 3X is a three axis flight stabilizer based on three interlinked PID *regler*
The system enables stabilized flybarless flying.
The characteristics of the heli are widely adjustable. It is as perfect for precise flying as it it for hard 3D.

The integrated HH gyro for the tail reads out the swash plate signals and gives a very good tail stability.
Through flybarless flying can reduce energy consumption up to 25% depending on flying style. The flight stability can mainly be improved with smaller modells through the Vbar system.

When can you get it?
If all goes to plan march. Preorder possible.

Features of the AC-3X

-Three SMM gyros, temp compensated, vibe sensitivity changeable (for nitros), all integrated in one unit.
-Sensors completely calibrated by the manufacturer thus always *something I don't get*
-Special PID *regler* on the swash plate enables perfect straight flight without additional sensors.
-Swash plate mixers for 3 servos.
-Integrated SWASH-Ring (what ever that may be...)
-Changeable expo for swash plate and tail
-High end tail gyro supporting all tail servos
-Servo frequency for the swash plate selectable from 50 to 160Hz
-Tail servo frequency 165Hz or 330Hz
-Tx can set global sensitivity for all three axis for different head speeds
-All swash plate necessary mixers included thus only a simple Tx needed
-CNCed alu case
-Fancy integrated Oled display and three buttons, two language menu, no PC or other needed for set up
-Cable tree for connecting AC3x to Rx thus reducing cables
- Das AC-3X ist komplett Made in Germany

F*** that was long, but hey I gave it a try. Note that I have no association with the manufacturer except I´m conviced of his helis. And there may, and probably are many mistranslated things in the text.

Hakim

Ps. anyone know what a regler is in english?

Looks interesting, except for the price which is kinda high when you realize the components should not cost more than $200 in total...

That is expensive, at least for the US folks. I'm sure it's a pretty attractive price over in Euro land though.

Well I think it is (an attractive price), not as good as it could have been but I paid 400€ inc. servo for my GY611, so I think the price is justified.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. A 611 over hear is about $320. But the Acro 3X will be about $735.

.

jepp and development, test, production service is for free

Currently this seems to be the next stage. No speed sensors, a very small unit. A additional harness will be available to reduce the "chaos" For Acrobat fans (the core product from this company) will be soon a attractive package (heli + AC 3X) available.

"Regler" is controller or actuator (see dict.leo.org)

It's a pitty to have for the US guys the weak dollar, the price is really very unattractive in the US.

Best regards

Gero

Dont forget, the price is including tax which in Germany is about 19%? So 500 Euros x (1/1,19) = 420 Euro.

We flew the AC3X of a friend this weekend and it flew real well, setup was very easy just the fine tuning of the default setup. No laptop, no phone nothing needed on the field.

The quality of the little thing is really nice, nice shiny aluminum casing, nice little screen and VERY nice flying...

I can not compare it to the Vbar as we have none in our club.

Hi,

Is it possible to have a link on a user manual of this AC3X? It seem great but I am interested to compare it with the Gyrobot from LF-Technik.
