Is this thing going to be DSM2 with only throttle fail-safe ?

This looks like the right time to introduce FHSS DSM3 for the EU (with all of the fail-safes) !

If it is like the X9303 - you have the option to failsafe every channel already. When using the 921 or 9000 receiver you can either do the throttle only failsafe OR you can also set it up to have a failsafe on all the channels - its your choice. I imagine that this will continue on for the 12X.

Well, I asked......

The answer is "we have no such plan".

Anyway, they always get it right first time round....

Hmmmm.... That is too bad. I agree, Tony, that the software will be good out of the box, but it sure would be nice to be able to preform updates as a way to add future functionality. I am disappointed by this.

Thanks for asking, though, Tony. It's great to get this info direct from JR.

Looks like the JR 12X is going to hit the USA Market in few weeks.
I got the Model Aviation magazine yesterday and there is a two pages adv. (Page 101-102)

Horizon has listed MAP at $1499.99 as of today (04Feb08) and the ETA is 4/22 for JRP1200 and 5/22 for JRP1210.

Rod, good eye for catching that! I can't seem to find the info on the Horizon site. Can you provide a direct link to that info?
Many thanks!

It's only on the dealer site right now, it shouldn't be long before it shows up on Horizon's site.

Ove version is dedicated Spektrum and the other has modules for each. I can't remember which is which though.

Both mode 2 versions they have listed are listed as A/S/H (airplane/sailplane/heli). It doesn't look like there will be a seperate heli tx. The JRP1200 is the 2.4GHz version while the JRP1210 is the 72/2.4 module version.
