WOW!!!

Hey, will you guys send ME your money . I just dont understand how this can continue to go on. I have been painting canopies for over a year and a half now and I have never taken money up front. My customers do not pay until I have completed the canopy (which is always less than three weeks) and I have SHIPPED!! Then I send the total with shipping and they make payment. I would rather trust people. It is wrong to take peoples money and not get them their product or at the VERY least talk with them. I hope you guys get your canopy or your money but I have a feeling it wont be the later.

Did he crash? Dang I missed it!

I don't think it will be the former either. Wouldn't it be good if everyone had the business ethics of Ace helis. I think we're fortunate that the "Morts" are in the minority.

Sorry to here this. But for Aceheli to step in I think is wrong. I do remember reading where Aceheli stated that he was shipping canopies to customers that had dirt and runs in the clear. That is wrong to. Now if he could produce like Mort's or even Dave's then that be really nice.

I do remember that one. RunRun, I am not sure what you mean by "stepping in". I am not trying to take his business. And as to the dirt and runs, I have never shipped something with dirt in it thats absurd? And yes when I first started a year and a half ago I have shipped canopies with a run in them but not until I had talked with the customer and sent them pictures of it (because they were small and in obscure parts of the canopy) and they told me to go ahead and send it. Usually because it was not that big of a deal to them. And I ALWAYS discount a canopy like that. But since then I have turned out a much better product. Thanks for asking though. And I have to say that Mort does great work. Great work!! But what good is that if people dont have it?

My ACE canopy was tops, no problems at all. I need 3 new one's now, I just don't know who to place my order with!
I keep looking, but not yet convinced.

You don't know to order from? Don't you have painters in the UK? Theres Canonod. They look good and cost a lot less then these painters in the US. And you must be able to get them there. And what are you not convinced about

There have to be some good painters there in the UK so that you dont have to pay for shipping? Or you should try your own hand at it. I did a full thread on thetrexforums about how to paint your own canopy. Only thing is you would have to have someone clear it but that should not be such a big deal. Pm me and I will send you the link to that thread.

Canomod is poor, simple. Yes there are a couple in the UK but the cost is large and the wait is long.

From the reading the wait cannot be any longer then from Mort. Canomod is $100.00, thats the canopy and paint. What do you really expect for a $100.00?

His promise on his website said by summer he would try to get things resolved.

runrun, I understand what you are saying, but you gets what you pay for.
Also the security certificate on the canomod site has expired which means no secure ordering. I have had cards cloned before, so I'm sure I'm not entering any of my information on an 'open' sever.

I want to add my name this group. Mort has already painted a canopy for me about 2 years ago. He did excellent work and delivered on time so I did not hesitate to place a 2nd order last September. I sent out 2 Eolo canopies to be painted and paypaled him $185.00 about 3 weeks later. His first excuse was that his mother was sick and he needed to look after her for a while. Then, he told me that he was sick and was hospitalized. He even called me from the hospital telling me that my canopies were finished and all he has to do was ship them out. That was last November. I haven't heard anything from him since beginning of this year. His business phone and cell phone have been disconnected. He does not answer any of my emails. I was pretty suprised to find many threads in this forum about him. This is first for me. I am usually very cautious when purchasing goods over the net but this time it looks like I've been had. Mort, if you are reading this and I have a feeling that you are, please remember "if your tail is long enough, soon or later it will be stepped on". I urge you to do the right thing.

I have had Mort do several canopies for me and he took entirely too long but luckily,I didnt mind.
Last year after he finished a canopy for me and it took him almost 5 months,I told him I was going to file a paypal dispute and get my money back.I had my finished canopy within a week.
He then kept calling me and emailing and pming me saying he would give me a deal if I did three at a time and gave me all of these stories how he needed some money and that I would be first on his list to get done.....I stopped returning his pm's and emails and stopped answering his calls....it was just really weird how he seemed to be begging for towards the end.

Well Mort, I hope that you are reading all these posts about how low of a person you really are and your junk canopy business. I ordered an Xcell canopy from him almost a year ago and he kept calling me and telling me that he was in the hospital and that as soon as he was released that he would get all these canopies out. Oh and how he didn't understand of why all of these people were mad at him, after reading all these complaints I can see now. Huh, it is really hard now days to trust anyone in business. I waited and I've read all of these posts that you all have posted and this man has really put a hurtin on people that put their trust into him for a product. Mort, if your reading this and I hope you are, let me tell you something that can be said in about five words,"God does not like Ugly", you may get away with it now but in the end you will get what is coming to you. Like I said I've waited a long time to say this and now I have said what I wanted to say, Mort for a man that has been doing this business as long as you have, this is really low and uncalled for, hope you enjoyed the $140.00 or so that I sent you. I hope that you didn't spend it all in one place and that you stretched it as far as you could.

I have had problems getting canopies painted on time however last summer after paying him, i eventually did receive the canopies a couple months late.

The second order to him last summer i decided to dispute the paypal funds when the canopies did not arrive on time, that got Mort's attention and he called me wondering why i did what i did and ended up getting the canopies delivered within a few weeks so i reversed the paypal disuput.

Not on the third time about 2 months ago, i sent him two logo 6003d canopies to paint which cost like $65 each and thats all she wrote. I refused to pay him upfront even though that is what he requested. I told him when the canopies ship i will send him the funds.

Since then, his phone number, email account and paypal account has been shut down!

Does anyone know how i can get ahold of mort. I just want my two canopies back. I would even pay for the freight!
