| Some intresting info about hotel reservationsWent thru Sulfer,La yesterday and thought I would stop and check with Microtell. When I asked about a discounted rate for the MAYDAY FF,they just looked at me like I had two heads or something. Wheather you call or make in person,it's allways the same runaround. They wanted 89.00 plus taxes for their rooms. I went to Wingate inn across the street and they wanted 109.00,but when I discussed the event and told them about it,they gave me the room for 89.00. Now I know what your thinking(same money,right). The deal is,this hotel is brand new and looks like a 5 star hotel with all the great amminities. Where would you rather stay at. This will only impress those people that have stayed at Microtell before(if you get my meaning).
I'm not bashing the organizers of the event,but trying to show the terrible management style of some hotels. I've been going to Mayday since 1998,twice a year,and maybe one time have I gotten a discounted rate. Bottom line is I'm taking my business elsewhere. For those of you that have Families going with you,I'm sure your counterpart will appreciate this place as well. One more thing,I know their are some of you that will say how you got your reservation at the discounted rate with no problem,I just want to say its not worth the aggravation to me anymore.
