Whole length of trailing edge, use a ruler and hobby knife and once 1 is cut overlay onto 2nd blade to get an identical cut on it.
You will probably experience vibrations if blades are not identical in shape and weight(just a warning)

Thanks,

I may try cutting of a little bit at a time and see what happens. I have a extra set of blades. Your right, something this small has got to be very sensitive to vibrations.

Look on youtube there are a few videos of the 4#3.

You'll love it, and for the price they are going for why not?

Well looks like the main motor has failed after 2.7 hours of flight time. That does not sound like alot, but that was my first 2.7 hrs with this heli. Lots of learning, with short flights. The next motor should last longer.

WOW! The parts are in! That was fast. My wife told me that a package came for me, I am out of town and not expecting anything but that. I forgot to ask her to check the return address I don't know where their located.

I have a few larger heli's including a TREX and the 4#3 is my fav. Mainly because I can fly it any time and the weather makes no difference. I am no pro pilot but I am not a noob either. If this heli is not challenging enough for you than set up a mini obstacle course in your living room or try spot landing. I can't get enough. I might have a problem, I don't think there is an HA group.

If I say duck, I'm not talking about a bird that quacks!

I love my 4#3 more than anything else i own right now.

I'm going on flight #70, but i have had to replace the motor once.

My replacement parts list:

Canopy
Main motor

Thats it! I've had bigger repair bills by just carrying my rex600e around.

haha

I too fly obstacles. I have 3 boxes in my living room, to "bunny hop" to. Good fun.

I bought one of these last week. Wow, what a hand full! Man that thing was all over the place. Did the following mods.

1. cut 5mm off the flybar.
2. added a spacer made from brass tubing between the swashplate and head to lock the swashplates vertical movement. May put one under the swashplate in the future.

Marked improvement but over control is still an issue. I'm going to move the links in one hole on the servos and I'll see if that calms it down.

Kudos to K-A Planes. When I opened the box, I discovered the canopy was broken and later found out the battery charger was bad. A simple email to K-A and they sent me new replacements. No questions asked.

1. cut 5mm off the flybar.

That will make the cyclic less responsive , but it will also reduce stability .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

I my opinion, it's a little too responsive and the reduction in stability was minimal. Have you flown one?

No , I was just pointing out that your adjustment will have reduced stability . Using heavier paddles , or flybar weights , would have reduced response and increased stability , but as long as you are happy with your mod , that's all that matters .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

Suggestion noted. You need to get one of these. Man are they fun! But really, it needs to be tamed down a little bit to make it more controllable.
