I had that same problem with my Feda (skylark) today but fixed it by coiling the antenna around a round toothpick, and then taking the extra amount (about 10 inches) and taped it to the table. The indoor flyers today were saying that the carbon fiber can cause interferance so try to avoid wrapping it around your tailboom or landing gear.

15-ft is too near a distance to loose a signal or control.

There must be something wrong with your radio system.
1. Make sure that you did not cut or shorten your receiver antenna wire.
( Antennas have a fixed length designed to the given frequency to
make it resonate efficiently).
2. Check your receiver antenna wire for any internal cuts "inside the
insulator" or an open circuit "cold solder" or a completely detached
antenna on your PCB.
3. Fully extend your transmitter antenna during use. (Although a good
operating radio system will function effectively for a certain distance
even with a collapsed X-mitter antenna---ie..during range check).

Check your motors.
There must be a shunting capacitor between the terminals and 2-more capacitors on each terminals soldered to the motor body...(capacitors are used to minimize spark which produce glitch to the radio system)
Check the capacitors if they have a good solder connection.

One of the things that I noticed since I started flying electrics that hasn't been mentioned. Keep your reciever as far as possible from the speed controller. I had my Hornet go buggy at short ranges until I put some space between the reciever and speed controller.

I wish somebody made a micro 6 channel PCM reciever.

Good luck,
