The field where the event is held is not open to flying on Thursday. BUT... any one in the area earlier in the week, please feel free to fly at the mha club field as a guest Monday-Thursday the week of the FF.

MHA FF update

MHA FF UPDATE: Just some updates for those planning on coming to the MHA FF June 6-8.

Please make hotel reservations soon. The block rooms we have reserved run out next week, and you will not get our club discount.

Food: As always, we will have food at the event. Saturday night we will feature a barbecue with pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans and whatever. The barbecue is real smoked pork made in a famous Washington DC restaurant.

Events: First, the flight line will always be open if you don’t want to participate in any events. Robin will again new the novice event, and the Beast from the East will run MHA’s version of the 450 challenge. Guaranteed to be more fun than dunking your head in a cooler full of ice. And of course the 10 hour long night fly Saturday night and Sunday morning.

3D Class: We will not have a formal 3D class this year. But…. For those wanting to fly all week long, the MHA club field will be open to guests Monday-Thursday for anyone wishing to join us. (that’s when you get to see me fly….)

Looking forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks!

We don't want to see you get upset after a crash and pack up and go home. So, please bring backup helis.

Looking foward to the event.

Cam and Benny it was nice hanging with you guys at Brooklyn. I feel your pain Cam. Crashing my 600 just before you killed my day. It led to very careful flying of my Stratus after and just wasn't as fun...can't crash 2 helis in 1 day.

See you guys in MD...can't wait.

You don't want to be down after a crash. The best way to forget about a crash is to put it away as quickly as possible and whip out the 2nd bird. When I was learning to fly, I carried 3 raptor 50s just for that reason. Best cure for a broken heart is to find a new love quickly and best cure for a broken heli is to fly the replacement before the sad/angry/frustration sets in.

See you there Jason & Cam, Rick, Edmond, Wes.

Are you bringing your Trex450 (still have it?) for the limbo?

Benny

I can't wait! This will be my first year, sounds like a blast.

Anyone have some 710 night blades? I have some MS 690's that I used on my 60 but I think I need the 710's now for my Stratus...

Just a quick update!

Where are we getting this awesome barbecue from for Saturday night? Just so happens, one of our members owns www.ps7restaurant.com/
in Washington DC. We don't serve slop at MHA!

And... 1 Up has reminded me about 10 times now that he wants three days of sunshine! We all do, but just in case.... Make sure you bring your 450 electrics. There is more than enough room in the barn to fly them!

Today, 125 shirts landed at my door step! Free to the first 125 pilots who register.

Two weeks away!
