Will this BEC handle a 6s lipo and 4 non digi servos and a giro? I'm thinking of using this on my EP-8, a 420mm blade heli.

No, max 3S on the Jazz 40 built in BEC

Yes - it's a switch mode BEC.

Note that 6S lipo is 25.2V when fully charged, slightly over the 25V rating of the Kontronik ESC.

FYI the manual is here and states:

Quote
In opposite to usual BEC-systems the capacity of the BEC is mostly independent on
the input voltage. This allows the usage up to 18 cells (24V). Additionally the BEC
distinguishes due to a high suppression of interference. A use of this speed controls
without BEC is possible by pulling the red wire of the receiver cable out of the
connector or by ripping this cable.

"The use of a 4 cells receiver battery pack is recommended (see safety information). The pack is connected parallel to the speed control into a free place of the receiver. This rice the reliability of the receiver due too double safety. A loading of the battery
pack is not possible, so be sure that it is full – load in time!

The continuos current of the BEC is 1.5A, the short
time current for 10sec. is 2.5V. "

Quoted from the Jazz manual

Kontronics recomends using a back up battery because at high amp loads the BEC can reset, causing a crash. I use the BEC on my T-Rex 450/Jazz 40 on 3S, but not on my 6S T-Rex 500 or (Jazz 80) T600

For a larger heli I'd agree, but for an EP8 with non digital servos it should be fine.

By the way if maximum current is your concern, the argument is the same if you put 3S or 6S on the input - if you previously thought the BEC was OK on 3S, then it's just as good on 6S, the current rating is unchanged. There is no significant power dissipation issue to derate the BEC performance like there is on everyone else's ESCs.

kontronik jazz 4-6-18 bec voltage???

I'm new to kontronik jazz speedy.. the manual didn't really say the actual voltage ... however on the old manual says it's 2.5Volts... isn't the AR6100 spektrum receiver have the minimum voltage of 3volts??..
if it is 2.5 volts.. my receiver must be mysteriously captured an extra 0.5 volts must be from static electricity.....
so... does anyone know the actual voltage output on the kontronik 4-6-18 BEC ????

btw i'm using scorpion hk2-2221-6 motor.. what a ballistic combo...
