The question keeps coming up about the different Esky outrunners, which one and so on.
EK5-0004, KV 3100, wt. 40 grams, designed for the KING and other 300 to 400 size heli's. max. recommended current 13 amps, dia. 25.6 mm

EK5-0005, KV 3900, wt. 40 grams, max recommended current 15 amps.,25.6 mm dia.

EK5-0006, KV 3800, wt. 58 grams, max recommended current 20 amps, 27.7 mm dia. recommended for the Belt CP.

I use the EK5-0006 on the KING but it is overkill, the frame has to be modified and it is more powerful than it needs to be, espesially with the stock plastic head. The HDX 300 outrunners are also excellent motors for the King .

I wish the forum supported stickies, because this should be one. I wish I had this when I was buying. It'd be good to add some recommended pinions for target headspeeds.

I got one of the 300hdx3800 when they started installing fans with a 10t Its a hottie but a bit much for plastic head 9t is perfect with this motor and plastic head and you can upgrade to 10t when you go to metal head.

You seem to have a calming effect on Wally, you have a kinship with animals. Its nice to see Wally so relaxed . Wally likes helis, you likes helis, therefore Wally likes ragtop.
