geesh not a good thing here ! plug in battery everthing is fine , spool up everthing fine hovers good , then give it collective and the heli shuts down ! autos down then gose through beeps again like i just plugged it in . now it wont do anything at all . tryed 3 different batterys no change . no power to anything . align 35 amp ESC , is it the ESC?

Sounds like loose solder joint! What kind of connectors are you using ??

Sounds like maybe the ESC is crapping or maybe a faulty solder joint. Another possibility is a short somewhere that is eating juice. Do you have a separate BEC? If not, maybe install one and see if that works before getting a new esc.

deans ... but would that cut the power to everything ? if power shuts down to all of the heli where should i look ? at esc dean connector ? strange problem this is ! thanks doug and i saw your videos in you tube good job!

Check the solder joint on the female Deans, sometimes they look allright because they are covered with heatshrink but when you really look you can see the broken or loose joint.

allrighty then , ill just redo the deads and give it a try . ill post results later . looking at the female part it seems to look kinda burnt at the shrink tube but esc dont smell burnt ... off to repair !

In what can only be called serendipitous, I had this problem yesterday. I got two new batteries for XMAS and put new Dean's connectors on. One of the batteries was intermitanly cutting out from the start. The first time I plugged it in, the esc powered up then imeadiately back down. Wiggling the connector got to toggle the connection state. Replacing the Deans did the trick. I don't blame the connector it was most likely the solder job.

For lipo saftey, I cut the shrink wrap and moved one wire over to the new connector at a time. This prevents the accidental shorting of the exposed wires.

Problem SOLVED ... it ended up being a servo . it had wore down to the wire on all three and grounding out . it was hidden so i was just lucky enough to pull the servo wires out of the receiver and found it ... thanks for the advise all ......

What was it rubbing on? try putting double sided tape(like for mounting a gyro) at the rub point to keep the wires from doing this again.
