i finally got to make my first flight yesterday. alittle info: dx7,ds 285mg cyclic,401/9650,tp 3s 2070,scorpion -8 w/11t, scorpion 55a esc and mavrikk e-series blades. started with a hover and the original blades. had a wobble in the main shaft when spooling up. so i rechecked the blades and found they were way out of balance. so to save some time i put the mavrikks on. went to a hover again. had a slight tail wag with slight drift. adjusted tail linkage and drift was gone. still had the wagging. after some checks (opps) i found my gain on the radio was at 100%. turned down to 80% and perfection. i cant even run above 50% on my rex with same set-up. went to a higher alttitude and did my first flip to inverted hover (only a few seconds) but still did it. this heli made it so easy. it transitioned so nice ,no stutering. i think my dinosour trex will be gone by summer. the only thing i dont like is the ugly plastic canopy. they really need to get a f/g canopy. all this took about 30 mins. to dial in after build. it took about 2 days to dial my rex in. |
