Which plugs are people using on the Rossi 65 and straight fuel? Mine came with a plug in the engine but I would like ot know what to replace it with. My OS & TT engines run well on Enya no. 3s and I have a good stock of them, will the Rossi be happy with that?

On new Rossis, Vario has been putting in Enya 4's with the engine set. I have used these for some time with very good results.

Thanks, is there much difference between an Enya 3 and a 4? I ask because I have a lot of 3s but no 4s! I run stright fuel.

I was under the impression that an Enya 3 was hotter than a 4. Many mysteries surround glow plugs!

Thanks, and does the Rossi prefer a hotter or colder plug if the Enya 4 is not available?

Heli_Jack, no problem, it would really help if someone came up with a standard for glow plugs!

Got my new head shims today so I can start putting my Sky Fox back together, then I'll start playing with glow plugs again.

No starter wand yet, I had already sent my order to Vario when it was advised, it will have to wait untiul next time now. I did the tricks you suggested, basically starting it like a reluctant fixed wing engine. It has been OK once it's had a flight, but first start of the day is not easy.

I am using home mixed fuel, I have the opposite problem, not easy to get fuel at all, have to have it sent and that costs too!
