Hello, everyone, I contacted one of the city officials here in AZ to find out if some of the local rc pilots could fly at one of our schools. I was told that the only restrictions that we needed to heed is by the FAA in which we understand. What we would like to do is just make it official and designate this school a flying area for us. Currently we have permission to do so but we would like to make it official and know how to go about making that so. Does anyone here have any experience with this? Please let me know thanks!!!!

Sure, get three members together and charter a club. Then you can approach the administration with the proper paperwork to cover them from liabilty. Maintain AMA's guidelines and all should be good and safe. The website www.Modelaircraft.org has all the info you will need to get it started.

Yep, call the AMA 1-800-I FLY AMA and tell them what you're after and they will put you in touch with the right person, alternatively seek our your district VP and they can help you out.
